So when a ref awards a goal that should have been pulled back as a handball, to give Sydney, Melbourne or whoever an unassailable 2 goal lead over Brisbane in the grandfinal we can expect that you won't be complaining at all.

As you said it took them 20 replays to make the decison surely this shows there was some doubt thus resulting in a try. On the game I thought we were a little flat footed for most of the game. NSW played a very fast game but didn't have enough quality. Taking Farah off was a big mistake he was playing very well. David Carney was shakey. Still baffled with some of their selections, Sims should of been picked but now he is gone for the year. I don't like the idea of Tamou playing. The big question is will Ricky stick with the same team.

It's not my view, just thought it was funny. I think all league fans know origin ain't over until the whistle is gone. They're have been many times Qld has come out with a win in the final minute. :p

It only took 2-3 replays to see that Inglis knocked it on.

I love how queensland fans are saying it was a try because it's illegal to stop a try with your legs, but when slater slid in with his knees to hold farrah up in the first half that's all sweet and a great trysaver. Phil Gould said it right, for a change, when he said it's been a knock on since 1908. The only person who needed to see a dozen replays was the idiot in the box, even the queensland players were set for a restart.
Also not sure how Jennings was the third man in, sure what he did was stupid, but if he deserved to go the bin so did Thaiday, Lewis, Pearce and Tate at least. Gallen's call about Thaiday was pure gold.

Game's clearly rigged . NSW lost the game for mine when the fight ocoured. Nobody can deny Jenning's was a complete fucking idiot. I mean what on earth was he thinking, sprinting 50 odd meters to throw a punch. We can whinge about Thiaday being constantly third man in until the cows come home, but Jennings was just stupid. I'm not surprised he's playing reserves at Penrith. There was just no need for him to do that. Didn't catch the last 10 minutes because I switched over to 1HD for SoA. But for all their faults, Queensland played very smart. Sure, they conceeded first, and NSW probably took them by surprised in that first 20, but credit to them, instead of losing their heads, they remained patient and waited for the inevitable mistakes that NSW were going to make. Surprised Hayne didn't get sin-binned either for his punch on Thurston in that tackle in the first half. Got him a right beauty.

We didn't have to blatantly ignore them like Queensland did for Greg Inglis.

What is Inglis doing playing for Queensland when he played his first senior football in Newcastle?

It's a bit rich to whine about Tamou, who is actually eligible for NSW, considering some of the shit Queensland have pulled over the years.

The rules are that wherever you play your first senior game after you turn 16 is the state you are eligible for. Greg Inglis' first senior game after he turned 16 was for Newcastle Hunter, before he moved up to Brisbane.

When it stated his junior club going through the teams, it said Bowraville Tigers. Having played against greg and Bowraville, I'm pretty confident in saying its in NSW.

The reason why i'm against James Tamou is because for 22 out of his 23 years he was a kiwi. Even last year he was called into the NZ squad and he has already played for the New Zealand Maori's. The only reason he is representing Australia is because of its monetary value.

He was spotted by Melbourne at 15 and signed with the Storm then, but didn't go up to Brisbane until a year later. The ARL ruled that his first senior footy was with Wavell High up in Brisbane in the Arrive Alive Cup, when actually his first senior footy after he turned 16 was for Hunter Sports high earlier in the same competition.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Tony Archer and Shane Hayne reinstated for Game 2 after that debacle last night.
I did love how when talking to the refs about the sin bin Gallen brought up the fact that Thaiday has been doing the same thing for years and has never been sent for it.

Well it was a typical result for now. Don't care what Jennings did "its Origin" got to have some brain snaps the same re Hayne popping one on Thurston "its Origin".... As for the other thread questioning the Blue selections well most of them did their bit imo but for Morris, seriously he doesn't bring enough at this level. Uate or whatever how you spell it - love your strength ticker and runs but whoa your defense is woeful, you leave your opposite with too much space. Carney first up probably needs to find his feet BUT I feel once he gets it right he can turn the game around, thats what we lack is creativity in the 3/4 line compared to the mobile experienced and bigger maroons. Farrah actually did very well and his kicking from dummy half is needed. My Eagle players did their bit as expected hope they all play Game2. The forward pack is fine - TRex with more runs under his belt will be the x factor next game ! Tamou was pretty solid but if your harping over his new nationality heck lets get Watmough back in he'll do the job !! ;) Pierce did better than expected good on him. Whats done is done re the GI try - going to be a great 2nd game at home.

Considering Morris made two try saving tackles this is a pretty funny comment.

Edited by sydneycroatia58: 24/5/2012 01:31:23 PM No idea how you can compare Thaiday and Jennings. Jennings ran 40+m to king hit someone. Thaiday rans 10m for some pushing and shoving.

Any other game he would be sent off and given six weeks supension. When Thaiday runs in it's pushing and shoving which turns into a melee. Jennings could of killed someone lastnight with such reckless behaviour.

But you can't just single one player out for something multiple players do. Imo there isn't much difference between what Jennings did last night running 40m in and someone running in from 10m. Being a late man in is all the same to me and Thaiday has been doing it for years, he's fucking reknowned for it. He doesn't just come in and push and shove, more often than not he comes in throwing punches. The guy is almost as big a cat as Ben Creagh. Mitchell Pearce was smart, picked a fight with Thaiday, the one guy who can't fight 1v1.
