What I find weird is with the rampant violence that was the sydney derby on the weekend, with brawls everywhere, 40,000 people, bystanders aplenty - and not one decent video to watch on these scenes unfolding....

So when you point out blatant hypocrisy you're an apologist. FFS look at today: Victorian Horse Racing boss has his joint shot up - yes, with a gun. http://www.smh.com.au/sport/horseracing/police-investigate-shooting-at-home-of-chief-racing-steward-terry-bailey-20151025-gki8ph.htmlThis is after a ongoing drive-by murder investigation linked to massive doping scandals, and 100s of drunks at every major horse racing event booted out for getting blind or punch ups. Will the media come out and condemn 'Horse Racing Violence' - and angle for something that is endemic to the culture of that sport? No, 'The sport of kings' is their angle. Yet it's the sport of brothel owners, drug dealers and drunken fuckwits. But they spend an awful lot of money in the papers. Edited by tsf: 26/10/2015 09:25:56 AM

Just imagine for a minute if people involved in soccer went and shot up gallop's house? Or if they murdered a guy after shooting into his car?
Now there is so-called 'violence' and there is real violence staring us all in the faces. but nobody gives a flying fuck.

"Well you see your Honour we did chase and bash that young fan up and stomp on his head for wearing the wrong scarf but in our defense something about an AFL match horse racing mumble mumble etc." Congratulations. Apparently you've noticed there seems to be an ongoing double standard in the reporting of crowd trouble. Hang on though, rather than say what a bunch of stupid clowns some fans are you keep pointing out "that it happens in other sports". Who gives a flying. How about we, as in football fans, start behaving ourselves and stop giving these pricks the ammunition they so desire. Radical suggestion I know.

Utterly false. A- I have never condoned poor behaviour. B- and I'm not saying it happens in other sports - I'm saying the situation is worse in other sports. Having said that I am not dismissing poor behaviour in soccer because it's worse in other codes. I'm just not buying the media bullshit. But hey, you sound like an expert on every single very vague incident that has been reported. And why do you care what some kid on the Internet writes? I'm worried about you and think it would be better if you moved on from engaging with me. Edited by tsf: 26/10/2015 11:11:33 AM

After every Melb/Syd derby we get the same reports "violence mars game"....next derby = sellout.
Its not ruining the sport at all. Despite how much the Murdoch press tries to.

The escalation of violence at WSW continues to climb and if people like yourself keep brushing it off as OK, it's going to reach a point where someone is going to be killed. Would love to see the RBBs press release then ](*,)

I certainly don't condone violence and while I was walking back to the station there were a few scuffles that were about to break out, but they all turned into nothing. So I didn't see anything. What did you see first hand?

The simple and obvious solution is to ban the RBB from attending the next few away derbies. They're a bunch of criminal and thugs and have proven so time after time. They don't weed out the rotten apples from within their own group. So none of them can attend in future.
Much stricter ticketing arrangements must be made for the WSW fans to ensure they don't sneak these wankers in. Maybe a families only policy or something.
The RBB must cause about 90% of all friction between the clubs . The solution to stopping the headlines is removing the RBB. It would then be up to the less active WSW fans to create the atmosphere for their team.
The WSW will surely be sent a bill for the damage their fans caused. The WSW should then add on a fine to all members of the RBB to pay the fine. They've got the credit card details. Too hard to identify individuals when they don't sit in the seats they bought. So they all get punished.

Odd, that there are all these extremly violent people at a-league games, mass brawls, hammers, bolts, and seats flying through the air everywhere - all this with cops and CCTV (not to mention punters with iphones covering every inch) - yet nobody can stop these criminal masterminds or capture it?
If you were cynical you'd think either the cops are incompetent or the problem is nowhere near as bad as being made out.

Like I have said previously. I do not condone violence and I am not here to deflect anything. In fact I have been highly critical of all supporter groups including our own. I have asked a simple question which couldn't be answered. Did anyone out of the hundreds who post on 442 witness any first hand accounts of violence. Not google or media reports, but first hand. Surely someone must have seen something with all the rampant violence going on?

A few boys, both SFC and WSW fans from this forum saw the old coke head RBB fella try hit an SFC teenager. They did post it on one of the countless 'trouble threads' Have a search if you want but that id first hand.

Why waste FFA marketing dollars, when you can just schedule the Derbies in the first few rounds.
