+xWhy do we produce so many players that don't train well... then we wonder why they never get a chance in Europe lol What aspects of training do you mean?

+x+xannual Melbourne Victory members forum wrap,
Current membership tally Melbourne Victory for upcoming 2024/25 season is just over 19,000 members signed up ten days (as of Wednesday October 9th) before opening game of the season announced by our managing director at annual Melbourne Victory members forum at AAMI Park.
Plenty of announcements to come during the upcoming 20th season of the club as announced by managing director so it will be watch this space during the season.
Also the club have been working hard with South End behind the scenes during the off season to make it hostile atmosphere for our home games.
Daniel Arzani is officially ruled out for the opening round clash against Central Coast Mariners next Friday Night due to accumulation yellow cards during last season’s Isuzu UTE A League Men’s finals series as revealed by Patrick Kisnorbo at Melbourne Victory members forum last night.
Also they confirmed that Western United’s home game against Melbourne Victory will not be played at Ironbark Fields which is currently slated for Saturday November 30th 7.35pm kickoff. I find it strange you post non derogatory statements about your hated foe. You know what they say keep your friends close your enemies closer

+xKISNORBO OUT. He was a failure in French lower division. Arzani had been playing well for MV last season and in Acup games this year. Obviously good enough for Arnie and Popa Socceroos squads - but apparently not good enough for Kisnorbo?! MV should put Kisnorbo on notice for not picking the best squad for ACup final and therefore losing trophy. Arzani might have some attitude issues but he is STILL a good player. Hope Arzani finds another club option next window. If the NST gets up next year Im sure he can find some space on a bench somewhere mate..... :P

+xKisnorbo seems to have a few problems already with different players... Who besides Arzani? I heard the Teague rumour but he was back in the side pretty quick.

+x+xNeil lennon with an interesting scoop that arzani and kisnorbo had a public fight in training and arzani was upset that he had been offered to other clubs during the off season I remember kisnorbo probably didnt play tilio as often as id like too. Seems to undervalue technicians who can unlock a set defence A public fight with the coach isn't a great career move. My take would be personality clash / attitude or perceived attitude issues. two need to sit down and talk it out if possible.

Santos looks like a left sided forward. That spells trouble for Arzani. It's frustrating how this is playing out.

We've signed Brazilian forward Clarismario Santos Rodrigues (Santos) who was last playing in Cyprus: https://melbournevictory.com.au/news/melbourne-victory-signs-brazilian-forward-santos/

I watched the first half and we played them off the park. Vergos missed a sitter and Kurto played a blinder. We played some really pretty football.
I was surprised by the result but a sucker punch against the play on happens sometimes. That's football.
I think Victory under Kisnorbo is chalk and cheese compared to Popa so far. That comparison is off imo. We're far more positive and our ball movement is quicker. I like our midfield with Teague, Valadon and Machach.

I knew something was sus with Arzani exclusion from the team in one aus cup game when he came off the bench late in the game.
It must be one of the frustrating parts of the football when a new coach comes in after you been playing under the old coach and then the new coach decides he has a different opinion of you.
It would be a shame he gets sidelined just because of differences.

+x+xSomething is going on there. I can't help but feel that it was a directive not decided by PK. I have no inside information, but it was a very, very strange decision. If what i said is true, then the club has thrown him under the bus... Not very smart when he was an unpopular choice amongst the fans to begin with. Nobody on forum knows why but what could possible reasons be for MV telling Kisnorbo not to pick him??

As for yesterday performance, it was very reminiscent with last year. Did enough to win the game, but didn't take our chances. Every shot on target was easy meat for the keeper

+xKisnorbo said post match that he ‘stood by decision not to have Arzani in squad’. Worked out well for him 👏 Something is going on there.

+x+xThat Vergos looked fairly insipid last night I thought. Bruno didn't get a run either He doesn’t look better than Bruno at all. And Vergos was up against a CB pairing of two guys who aren’t CB’s and have a combined age of 75. On the flipside MV had a 40 and 20 year old CB pairing and Adelaide couldn't score either
