+xWould npl ever go on ten play or Paramount? Would be so good having it on the one app Matey, just heard a fairly strong rumour over the weekend about a relatively large ASX listed company approaching AAFC as a naming rights sponsor for the NST... Hearing the dollar figure is unbelievable and will cover a huge amount of the expenses some of the clubs are worried about .... discussion point at the moment is around who will administer the funds/comp but Im reliably told we should hear some pretty exciting news about this, broadcast deal with both a FTA AND Streaming service (most will be very very pleased with this) by end of April.... Fingers and toes crossed at the moment :)

Massive win for Marconi on the weekend. 3-1 over top of the table Rockdale ilinden at club Marconi, aka the palace, in front of a decent crowd Saturday night crowd, particularly as west Sydney wanderers were playing Melbourne victory at parramatta at the same time. Marconi up to 3rd now, 3 points behind APIA who are now top, and 2 behind Rockdale who have a game in hand. Good win for APIA too, 4-2 away to Blacktown. Sydney United another 2 points back in 4th after a 0-0 away draw to Wollongong. Sydney Olympic now falling behind the pack in 7th, gonna be hard for them to defend their title from here with the cutthroat nature of first past the post.

Yea, APIA looking strong, imagine if they didn’t lose their key striker after 1 match. Incidentally they’re expecting a sell out for their APIA against Olympic this weekend, their annual “festival of football”. For those unaware the two clubs have gotten together to organise an Italian and Greek cultural festival to coincide with their match every year. they take turns hosting. They have Italian and Greek food stalls, music, entertainers etc. excellent initiative by both clubs imo. Will try to get down and support said initiative. i believe this is the third or fourth year they’ve done it now.

My boys love the pizza at the Trattoria so we went and watched that game as well as we do only twice or three times a season usually. I notice they've got Olympic in the Australia Cup as well.

An offical attendance of over 4000 was announced over the loudspeaker at lambert park today for APIAs 3-0 win over Sydney Olympic. Great result considering the rain in my opinion. Once again, well done to both clubs involved for showing initiative. Incidentally APIA are now clear atop the ladder, still undefeated, with Marconi 3 points back in 2nd position, after a 4-1 on Saturday. looks like both Italian clubs will be challenging for the title this season, and it also looks like it’s going to be a tough ask for Olympic to defend their title from here

APIA played some of the slickest football I've seen any NPL club play. The APIA coach was a guy with glasses, who was quite young for a NPL coach. Conversely, a few seasons ago, Marconi, hoofed long high balls up from the defensive line up into the mixer. They were awful - the worst football playing NPL team I've seen visit this state for some time.

We play ugly football, have already noted previously that I’m not a fan of tsekenis’ style of football. We seem quite inconsistent, every now and then we pull out a decent performance, but then go back to ugly, physical route 1 stuff the next week. APIA looked sharp today
