[rant]Watched Suits today. I think the break made me realised I have been deluded into liking the show. The characters are great, except Mike Ross (main character); his incessant emotional antics are going too far. So far that it's fucking ludicrous to believe someone in his position would think that way. Sure, the idea is his morals are taking over his ethical duties, and the show isn't directly aimed at ardent fans of the legal procedural genre (I guess I'm one) BUT IT'S FUCKING RIDICULOUS and ruining the show. Yeah, delve into the morals vs ethics quandaries lawyers face, but they've gone too far with it.
I get that the latest episode S02E11 Mike just lost his grandmother and is defending the kind of person he despises, but fuck it's unbelievable; not sure if it's the writing or acting or both. And I get that he's a book-smart lawyer in that he knows the technical side and lacks the law school experience and training, but Mike's progression is pretty much confidence rather than skill in actually lawyering.
[/rant]
On the note of morals vs ethics of lawyers, watched S03E18 of Boston Legal the other day... Wow. The show had such a different, emotional tone to it. They use archival footage of Shatner's work in the 50s (I think) as flashbacks. Seemed cheesy the first time they show it, but works brilliantly as you watch the episode. Not sure if there's any Boston Legal fans here. Shatner's excellent in the show, but this episode, he's an entirely different excellent.

Im wandering when Nikita will return to foxtel for season 2=\. I cant wait for Game of Thrones to return, Foxtel removed Alias mid way during season 4 which has really pissed me off and I just got to season 3 of the Sopranos, which im loving.
Does anyone think Revenge season 2 has been terrible compared to the 1st?

Waiting for it come onto Foxtel, love that show.

I agree with most of that, just think it was a one off though, his morals in juxtaposition to Harvey's seemingly ruthless approach to things humanizes both characters and makes for enjoyable viewing 99% of the time imo. I think last episode was just a big fuck up tbh, Mike was a complete dickhead but the subject was incredibly close to home considering his own past and the immense emotional trauma he's just been through bringing all that back to the surface. I'm thinking/hoping they'll get back on track now they've got such an outburst out of the way, stick with it mate.

Flicked on Person of Interest tonight. It's disjointed and nonsensical. Hard to follow. Then I looked it up and found out it was a JJ Abrams production.

The Walking Dead is back on the 12/2/2012!
Can I get a hell Teah!
also Community returns in 1 Week! let's hope that these new show runners can keep it going! Though I find it hard to believe that they can with Chevie Chase quiting and the fact that they have hit their fourth year of Community college and surely they'll be going on to real colleges to finish their studies.

Can't wait for October 19 ;) But yeh, it will be interesting. Iv'e read a few things about this season. Chevy Chase had shot all but one or two episodes before leaving and he had finished the season finale, so it'll be interesting ow he leaves. As you said, they're ll starting to finish their degrees, I'm wondering whether well get a Scrubs situation and get a new study group in season 5, which would be sad, but I don't know how they'd continue with this group beyond this season. I know the plot deals with Abed worrying about how they're all gonna stay in touch beyond this year and Jeff striving towards getting back to being a lawyer. My main issue is its only 12 episodes long. NBC have really fucked around with that show too much.

Word on the street is that NBC are putting a lot into advertising and promoting this season and if they can get a jump in the shows ratings will put in an order for another season (reduced to the 12-14 eps again). Plenty of talk of renewal based on ratings, but we all know that ratingsa are not something to rate a show on. If it is canned let's how for an Arrested Development Netflix revival!

so keen for community
from what i read about chase it sounds like what benjo said - they've just missed a couple of episodes. rumour has it they'll be doing a video game and/or claymation episode again, and attempt to go pierce-less or just use recorded voice-overs of his. have read a lot about the finale which he did feature in, and apparently it leaves it open for a few different characters to write themselves out, so it seems they've already got that covered if they do go another season
can honestly see the show heading in the direction of they all work in a film/tv set together. abed with his films, jeff being a lawyer for the agency, have a cafeteria there for shirley, britta constantly protesting, troy to be a handyman, etc etc. there's a lot they could do if they want to keep the current crew.

Glad Community's returning. Not overly excited, though.
Three episodes in, and am DIS-A-POIN-TED in the lack of boobs in the latest season of Californication. Still kick-ass, though.

Was I the only one who was disappointed by it? No all of America was disappointed by it and it was canned after 13 eps. Actually it was canned after 6 but they were contrated for 13 and when they knew it was going to be canned, wrote a nice tie up ending.

B-Grade TV at it's finest. The pilot really let you down after C7 had been flogging it for the best part of 4 months.

I'm more interested on when we're going to see Community Season 4. It's almost half way through in the states (though to lack luster reviews due to the gomogonization of the once great show) i need to see it just so I can take a breath and stop being so obssessed with the show.
I'd download it but I don't know how to do it and I don't know where is safe sites to down load it from.

just for those that dont know.. Quote:SBS 2 relaunches in a week and a half with a new-look prime-time schedule aimed at 16 – 39 year olds.
It features a mix of ecelectic comedies, drama, light entertainment, movies, music and sport, mostly from overseas.
Amongst the highlights are: Community From Emmy Award-winning directors Joe and Anthony Russo (Arrested Development), Community, the critically acclaimed comedy series about higher education – and lower expectations – finds a home on SBS 2.
Benidorm Bastards Much more than a hidden camera show, the Emmy Award-winning comedy from Belgium, Benidorm Bastards, stars seven elderly men and women who leave younger generations dumbstruck with their unexpected and plainly outspoken behaviour and pranks.
Bullet in the Face (pictured) Wildly violent, bloody and unabashedly politically incorrect, Bullet in the Face is a new, viciously funny action comedy series, written and directed by Alan Spencer (Sledge Hammer!). Filmed in Montreal with a star studded cast including Eddie Izzard (Valkyrie), Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), and Max Williams (Shameless), the series is gleefully juvenile, broadly parodying graphic-novel noir films such as Sin City.
Russell Howard’s Good News Russell Howard is one of the UK’s most successful stand-up comedians. With his boy next door charm and seamless mix of irreverent pop culture chatter, cynicism and satire, he offers a hilarious and unique take on the news in the topical comedy show, Russell Howard’s Good News.
Don’t Tell My Mother… For the past ten years, Diego Buñuel has been a foreign correspondent for French Television covering all kinds of countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, or the Congo. Every time he left for one of his stories, he would tell his production crew in the Paris office, “Don’t tell my mother I am in Colombia, it makes her really nervous.”
Threesome In this seven-part comedy series, Alice, Mitch and Ritchie are three best friends on the brink of 30. Party boys and girls in London, they’re an incredibly close trio who have always done everything together: Alice is a high-maintenance princess who always wants everything her own way, Mitch is her fiancé who always thought that he’d never have a snowball’s chance in hell of being her fiancé, and Ritchie is Alice’s gay best friend and Mitch’s best mate – who, deep down, Alice had always thought of as being the unobtainable man of her dreams.
Him & Her Him & Her is a six-part anti-romantic comedy series about Steve (Russell Tovey, Being Human) and Becky (Sarah Solemani, Bad Education) a young couple deeply in love, often in bed and rarely in employment.
Graffiti Wars To some, Graffiti is art, to others it’s a sign we have lost control of our cities. Since Roman times graffiti has been a form of anti-establishment rebellion. But today it is transcending social nuisance to gain cultural and artistic credibility, unprecedented prices at auction, and even Presidential and Prime Ministerial approval.
Exit Through the Gift Shop Exit Through the Gift Shop is an incendiary true story of low-level criminality, companionship and incompetence. The program follows an eccentric shop-keeper turned amateur filmmaker, Thierry Guetta, whose apparent compulsion to videotape every moment of his life led him to document the phenomenon of contemporary street art.
It also features PopAsia, Cycling, UEFA Europa League, Marngrook Footy Show, Tales of the Night with erotic drama stories from South Korea and If You Are the One, China’s speed dating show based on Australia’s Taken Out.

Good start to the new season of GOT, loved the character appearance at the end as that was something I'd completely forgotten about. Last season I felt the plight of Dany was quite boring to watch at times but I'm intrigued by her story again after this episode.
I thought I'd only been watching for 20 minutes and was shocked when it ended, having to wait a week for each new episode is going to be tough.
