And i would argue he is a 4th string keeper now if he is in u21s. Fair comment. Like Lukerobinho suggested , he would be a good football pundit in Oz. Edited by Decentric: 12/11/2015 12:42:12 PM

Edited by Decentric: 12/11/2015 12:42:12 PM there's a lot of uniformed judgement about schwarzer being kept game fit in a u21 game and about his reasons for signing with leicester. he's 42 and still good enough to do a job. probably still one of our best 3 active goal keepers. and he gets to keep playing football without having to move his family off to some shithole. Halloran was a 58th minute sub against Ingolstadt in a friendly. No Leckie obviously.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

This is one of the funniest things I've read on 442.:d Schwarzer at 40 odd playing for the under 21s. I thought he'd retired. It doesn't seem like he is going to return to live in Oz anytime soon. After the 2006 WC in Germany, I think Cahill, Schwarzer and Neill made a special trip back to Australia to increase the profile of football. It is interesting to see what they've done in the last few years comparatively. I'd like see Socceroos with 20 plus games get some sort of public presentation at Socceroo matches before the event. Since the public promo trip in 2006, Lucas was forced to retire because nobody wanted him. Supposedly about to play NPL. Timmy is chasing the dollar. Mark is playing Under 21 football in England. Edited by Decentric: 12/11/2015 09:22:15 AM Let's not go back to the dark old days of thinking that these sorts of players owe ANYTHING to Australian football. They got us to 3 world cups!

Schwarzer has a few brain cells operating, written kids' books etc.. He may have potential to be a good coach or possibly manager; playing with U21s would be a great opportunity be in the 'field' to learn about development, leadership etc., and contribute by playing too?

From some one basically at there peak and in league 1 you would hope for a little better. That said I don't mind him as a squaddie but I think we will have much better options come Russia and Elder is one of them. Side note is he still with Leiscter City?

Peterborough aren't that bad either.. Elder already has more assists and goals in League 1 then Meredith.. word on the forums is Elder is lightning quick aswell.

Some intitial talk of Ikon going out on loan this January. The two front-runners are Empoli and Genoa (both Serie A teams) http://lnx.lazialita.com/2015/11/14/mercato-ipotesi-prestito-per-oikonomidis-empoli-sullaustraliano-scambio-con-tonelli/

Well we saw how Empoli treated Brillante after having one bad game. Genoa it is.
For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby

Say what you wanna say but going to that club would not be on my list of things to do. If I was Brilliante, perhaps making a quiet exit from Italy would be an ok thing to do. The way they have treated the young fella has been miserable

Not sure if it's been said here, but apparently Brad Smith has signed back on at Liverpool?

Harry Redknapp said that. FFA just picked it up and fucked it for all it was worth. Rumor is that Brendan Rodgers is going to be appointed as head coach which i cant complain about
