FMD , dead-set morons The inner city trendies are dead set the worst people ever. If you've ever been to West End in Brisbane it's a cesspool of verbal shite. Holla, place is full of kunts If your job is taken by a fresh off the boat refugee with no skills, no clothes and limited english speaking ability then i think it is time for you to up skill. I think all these refugees will end up like the mexicans in the USA. They will do the low skilled, hard labour jobs that most 21st century Australians don't want a bar of. Fuck you, you pompous cunt. Seriously, people like you have no idea what its like for the working class. My family is upper middle class, but I don't go around with the sheer arrogance that some people do. Yes, there are some people who are what you call "stupid". They didn't do well at school and probably got involved with the law - lots of the time due to growing up in adverse circumstances such as single parenthood and poor financial situations. For them, these jobs are their only goal is to get a stable job and get a decent shot at life. What happens when you get mass immigration, is that the labour pool increases and employers can afford to pay you less. "Oh, you can't afford to work for $18 an hour? Well, Sanjiv over here will do it underhand for only $5 bucks an hour!" So basically you've priced the working class out of work in favour of cheap foreign labour. Think this is an exaggeration? Look up 457 rorting and the 7-11 story recently. That tired argument is trotted out by large multinationals to justify this mass import of cheap labour. It's not "Australians don't to work", it's more like "Australians don't want to work for dirt cheap like foreigners will!" In short, fuck you for trotting out this tired globalist lie and insulting the working class.

I have worked with refugees and what they do is just work lots of hours, so say 50 hours at $20 is a grand a week, any Aussie could do it and I myself have done it. It is shit, makes you hate people but it is better than being an ignorant cock.

Actually, 7000 is not that much. There's been something like 60,000 Iraqis move to Australia in the last 12 years, they just didn't all come as refugees so the stats don't jump out.
Stats published a couple of years ago said that the employment rate among Afghani refugees was 5%. HOWEVER, I would be a lot more confident of people from Syria being able to adapt faster to working in an English speaking, developed country.
Edited by Aljay: 17/9/2015 08:39:08 PM Especially considering we're taking the Christian plurality, which is probably one of the more educated groups in Syria. I've missed fair bit of what's going on, is this tongue in cheek or has a decision on this been made? The two people that I know who I know for sure are of Syrian background are 1. A telco engineer and 2. An architect.

The Christian Syrians are in the good eyes of the government, so I'd assume they'd be a well-educated moderate bunch. Edited by 433: 18/9/2015 08:10:26 PM

Im beginning to like you more and more Azza haha. This is the second post in 5 minutes that I've seen by you that actually tries to uncover some truth behind the story instead of just relying on Left vs Right propaganda.
