Marriage equality? Isnt that where the wife has equal rights just like the husband and an entitlement of alimony if there is a divorce? :-k

What about fathers getting equal visitation rights?

A mates sister is virtually a crackhead with criminal convictions and still gets the bulk of custody over their son.

There's a facebook page called 21 Fathers which outlines the gross imbalance in custody rights. 21 fathers a week commit suicide due to the side affects of either child support costs or virtually losing their children. It's a high number. I think as a country we gloss over these sorts of facts.

Check your privilege, shitlord.

Re. the rainbow flag filter on Fb. If SSM is something a person feels a real passion for, go ahead. But I strongly suspect a lot of people go along with it just because it's the 'cool' thing to get on board with and they want to advertise how tolerant and progressive and "with it" they are, lest somebody call them a bigot for one reason or another...

AC/DC sucks.

GTA IV is nowhere near as bad as some people try and make it out to be.

I like AC-DC, although I can only listen to them in small doses. A lot of their tracks become indistinguishable after a while, loud noise that works perfectly as background music for a boozy party or when you're pre-drinking with the boys before a night-out. But it's (generally) not the kind of music where you sit and play the album over and over and memorise the lyrics etc.

I like AC-DC because they don't take themselves too seriously and never have. They're not carrying on with pretentious 7-minute ballads where you're expected to feel sorry for them because they blew all their money on some crazed coke binge and now they've woken up in a hotel room to find that the peroxide blonde, big boobed slapper they were fucking has vanished and how will they ever live without her? They're not singing out of both sides of their mouth, boasting about partying and living like rockstars then expecting you to be able to identify with them.

AC-DC know exactly what they are and they take pride in it. I remember in a 1984 interview, Angus is asked by a reporter how he feels regarding accusations that AC-DC had (at the time) "made the same album 6 times over" and Angus gets indignant at this. He says "That's a load of rubbish- we've made the same album 9 times over!"

See I can't listen to them on repeat. I can do 3 or 4 songs at a time max.

However, compare ACDC to the following:

- Kanye West
- Justin Beiber
- 50 Cent
- Literally 90% of rappers
- All pop music

I can't call a band over rated when Kanye West manages to make money from making music.

I know what you mean (although I think JB is a talented kid and a lot of people hate-fucking on him are the same people hate-fucking on Trump- because it's the "cool" thing to be doing and they're too lazy or stupid to form their own opinion on the person in question).

I'll add that AC-DC in 2010 is still one of the best live gigs I've ever seen. It was $150 for Arena A (standing room, directly in front of stage) and even myself (as a fan) wondered if they were just milking the ticket price because they're AC-DC and they can get away with it. But the show itself? Fuck. Amazing. I saw Angus transform from iconic Angus, into a weedy little, sweat-soaked Gollum-like being on stage that made me just a bit concerned for his well-being. Ditto Brian when he ran up stage, leapt and rang the massive bell- I was thinking "How the hell is he doing that at 62?" I left that night feeling bittersweet, wondering if maybe I would never see a show as good as that ever again?

But the next day, at Soundwave, I saw Faith No More....that's another story!

Saw the show in 2010 in Brisbane myself and the 10 minute solo by Angus was crazy. Their ovrall performance was terrific.

Sadly have to disagree on Faith No More. I even left the show early to avoid crowds because I was so bored.

Soundgarden are also not a good live band. They just stand there. So disappointing given how good they are to listen to.

Agree with most of this. Vardy's a racist and a dickhead, and the profile picture changes were pretty cringeworthy (same applies to the rainbow filter).

I dont remember. But im pretty sure the music will still be around. For example they used acdc in ironman 2, this type of thing will continue to happen. Within Australia Jimmy Barnes will sing at events until he voice goes.... its inevitable. Then eventually when Jimmy or Angus die (in their own time) there will be reboot into popular culture. Then anniversary etc

Here's the problem. Everyone who says today's music is shit does not bother to actually look for the good stuff. This is what really shits me. You're judging all the music being listened to today based on people like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry etc.

All I see is bitterness from the fact that your taste in music is no longer popular. It will happen for every genre.

Old people, your music isn't popular anymore, embrace the new music or keep your mouth shut.

Dude the first time I drove a car in Australia in 10 years I turned on the radio and it was Cold Chisel. This will still be playing in 20 years and so will acdc. Your Justin Beiber wont.

I didnt say that todays music was shit.

All I said was the music that you called unpopular will still be popular.

I don't know about that, how many 50's/60's songs do you hear on the radio now?

That's all one needs to know.

Kid's these days. No wonder radio music is a fucking abortion.

I listen to a wide variety of music and that's a problem?

See I can't listen to them on repeat. I can do 3 or 4 songs at a time max.

However, compare ACDC to the following:

- Kanye West
- Justin Beiber
- 50 Cent
- Literally 90% of rappers
- All pop music

I can't call a band over rated when Kanye West manages to make money from making music.

So you admit that you don't really like AC/DC

You come off as such a "Born in the wrong generation" stereotype.

More than welcome to prove me wrong.

Just because Iron Man or Triple M played Back in Black doesn't mean it's still as popular as you think it is. It certainly doesn't mean that it has more artistic value than the pop music you hear every day. If you actually knew where to look, you could find shitloads of great music released this year.
