i know what you mean there is nothing wrong with a bit of banter but yes i want every club to go as well as possible off the field, the only reason i can think of is we were forced to become members to attend matches because of parramatta stadium, hell we still are with spotless which is not that much bigger, sydney fc never had that problem and i think that helped create a membership culture with wsw however the difference between us is too great for it to be just one factor imo i could be wrong though.

victory vs city makes sense mostly however i think there is enough room in that city for 2 teams with 20k membership but you would expect city to be far behind at this point

Yep, 18,706 and that was the final count by mid to late season, not by round 1. So all things considered, they are currently tracking very well and should hit 20k by mid season I would assume, unless they go on a 6 - 8 game winless streak.

19k members a possibility before round 1, with a good start to the season we could hit 20-21k.
