+xWFMB: I'm back, my research project drama has been resolved and 2017 is off to a solid start. I've gotten back on track with my diet and lost a bit over one kg since NYD and I'm planning on getting a job, building a PC and buying a car by the end of the year. Sounds great pal, good luck with it all!

You won't regret it. I'm gonna talk to mum about renewing my old gym membership and beginning a dedicated program to bulk up. Do not bulk, if you're a noob you'll still gain muscle while you cut (just less of it). If you bulk you'll gain more muscle admittedly, but you'll end up putting on more fat which is the opposite of what you want and you'll end up looking worse than when you started.

All you need is dedication and someone telling you to keep going, that's probably the hardest part of any Gym related working out. -PB @salmon Nah you dont need gyms. Spartan training. Get a 20kg bag of rice from your local viet town..carry it on your shoulders (alternating from shoulder to shoulder) and do laps at the track. One lap with the bag, one lap without, followed by squatting and pressing the bag 20 times.., this is one rep... you do this 5 times... no rest... your body learns to recover on the laps that youre not carring the bag.., (in fact the laps without the bag feel like holiday compared to running w bag or doing the squat/press). Mma fighters use this type of training, youll get lean mean, ripped as fuck, and actually strong quick smart.. none of this poser gym shit. Waste of money... theres a million other permutations you can do with or without the sand/rice bag too.

Start with a 5kg and work upwards towards 20kg maybe? Build up fitness than work on strength by increasing weight. Why insult gyms? Different things work for different people.

Yep can work your way up with the bag weight... and the point is to go as hard as you personally can, and race the clock.. if at first you can only walk..then so be it.. eventually your body gets conditioned..and you better your time. Im dissing the concept of gyms bc you dont actually need them. You can train your entire body at home with a set of dumbells (maximal strength)... the main thing at first though is just training with your body weight... push ups and chin/pull ups... the aforementioned workout is a conditioning workout that focuses on "endurance strength" and "explosive strength". Things fighters need to last the fight... by the 2nd lap youre feeling it (endurance).. and then you have to squat press the bag - ie youre in the 3rd round your legs are going but you still have to be using explosive strength for eg. Punching/kicking.. thats why i said you actually get strong/fit doing this stuff, i guarantee i am 100 times fitter than 90% of meat heads at the gym... most gym people might look ok but they aint actually fit, and they only ever really focus on pushing heavy weights ie.maximal strength training... (or end up disproportioned coz they focus more on arms or chest or something.... isolated weight training should be done very carefully).. sure they could twist the lid off a jar really well..but thry wouldnt last 1 min in an octagon.

Yeh agreed, a bag of rice can do wonders for you. I've tried that form of workout and it's savage, in a good way. Unfortunately for people like me with ailments (my knees), I rely on the gym for controlled exercises.

WFMB: finished landscaping the front yard, well enough that we can get our $2k bond back that we didn't know we had paid (wasnt advised it was included in block price til after we had moved in, so we had the $2k bond ready to pay by cheque and didn't need to pay it haha) Just got a few finishing touches to the front, including a verandah post the sister-in-law smashed into, but nothing huge.
Then we can do the backyard. needs a 6x4m deck, garden around fenceline, drainage and then 100m2 of turf... maybe a shed for garden tools.

DAZN now showing NBL, 6 Nations and Sydney rugby sevens. Not that'll ill watch all of it but I don't know how they can do this for 10€ a month. It's all legal and legit. Is Internet broadcasting perhaps cheaper to run? It's just an insane service which I've never seen any provider offer on tv on any country.

When you're briefly seeing a girl and you get on famously at first... But then she turns out to be a bit of a nut job, a spoiled child and so flaky that McDonalds should stick her in soft serve cones and charge 50c. So you call her out on it after she "no shows" for a date and she behaves like you're being the unreasonable one and everything is your fault. But you won't tolerate her bullshit, so she cuts the connections with you, tells you not to contact her again and then posts 'Obsessed' by Mariah Carey on her Fb wall with the caption "You know who you are..." And she then blocks you on Fb and vanishes into the sunset, still believing that everything was your fault and her shit doesn't stink... ....Then, 4 years later you walk into Macca's after a long days' work and a few fuck arounds, you make your order and you see that on the big screen TV in the restaurant, 'Married At First Sight' is on. And then you see that one of the brides is this very same girl. And her "Prince Charming", the husband of her dreams who she meets at the altar? Is a STRIPPER. And then the subsequent show, in addition to her terrible wedding speech, and the comments about her on the 'MAFS' Fb page, resoundingly point to the fact that you were 100% right about her. And it feels like everybody who watched, sees exactly what you did. And in regards to their relationship? Australians haven't seen a train wreck like this one since they switched on the evening news on January 18, 1977... Praise Kek!

Look, I'd seen my share of girls before, seen my fair share since and for the most part we've gone our separate ways with little hard feelings. I'm not one to carry a grudge. Life's too short... But have you ever had a falling out with somebody who can't perceive how any small part of the conflict could be their fault? How saying one thing and then doing the complete opposite, just days later, could be a bit of an issue? And rather than resolve said issue they instead treat it like you're the one with a problem, then indignantly cut you off and act as if you're the most demanding, unreasonable person in the world? Well imagine being in my situation. Imagine, quite unexpectedly, feeling as if the universe can't take this persons' bullshit any longer, comes around to your side and gives that person an almighty tap on the shoulder to say "You see this shit you get yourself in? This is ALL your fault. Everything these people have said about you is 100% correct and you should've listened to them. But you didn't. And now you get to expose yourself as an immature, delusional, real-life version of the sort of character Chris Lilley would take 6 months to develop, and marry a stripper on national television, as the "so bad it's good" couple on a TV show already full of people who've given up to the point that they're willing to not just be set up with, but marry a complete stranger. On national television.Enjoy!" So yeah...forgive me for not feeling somewhere between "I just cracked open a cold one on a steaming hot day" and this:
There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

+xLook, I'd seen my share of girls before, seen my fair share since and we've gone our separate ways, no hard feelings. I'm not one to carry a grudge. But have you ever had a falling out with somebody who can't perceive how any small part of the conflict could be their fault? And rather than resolve the issue they instead treat it as if you're the one with a problem, then they indignantly cut you off and act as if you're the most demanding, unreasonable person in the world? Well imagine being in my situation- where it's as if the universe comes around to your side to give that person an almighty tap on the shoulder to say "You see this shit you've got yourself in? This is ALL your fault. Everything these people have said about you is 100% correct and you should've listened to them. But you didn't. And now hundreds of thousands of people will forever know you as that nutcase with the maturity of a 12 year old who married a stripper. Enjoy!" Oh i know the feeling. I was in a relationship like that before i mdt my wife.
