Always got respect for the fans in the Hunter, they’ve been very loyal to a poor side for a decade pretty much.

Newcastle crowds can get a real run on when they're in form. If they string some wins then they have some exciting fixtures against Victory and Sydney FC coming up. 

Good turnout, not trying to have a dig but it seemed very quiet on tv for a big crowd, is there still active support for Jets? Not sure but I think I can remember something a while back about the squadron ceasing involvement due to many issues they had?

Roars crowds are affected by several things, in addition to the general downward trend midweek games have always been a killer - the ffa won’t move the kick off from 6.50 local because the southern states experimenting in time travel would be confused if the sokha didn’t start at its usual 7.50 their time .... but if you’re in the city you can’t go home and get back for kick off, if you’re on either coast you won’t bither

The year we had Theijsen we had similar midweek crowds and were pulling 6k to mariners and 7k to wanderers. That’s 4 seasons ago so don’t panic folks.

I am all for expansion and second divisions but if you guys think it is going to have some miraculous effect on attendances and ratings, then you are off with the fairies.

So we are simply noting the decline of numbers both in tv figures ever since expansion was neglected. As far as I care, this decline is at the fault of the FFA. As you well know I am constantly watching, attending etc. But if the FFA are going to provide such lip service and gamble on the future of our game then I'm not going to pretend to be sad when it all goes to shit.
