+x+xSo are these WCQ's going ahead ? 26th March for the Australian one. Doubt it, the March matches likely to be pushed to September or October FIFA dates, meaning final round of qualifiers will be very packed. I reckon even the June qualifiers are doubtful and Copa might be cancelled. Would be gutted if Copa is cancelled. Covid-19 numbers starting to appear in South America. Will go through there like a hot curry. Wonder if Socceroos would get invite to following Copa to be played if 2020 copa is cancelled?! 🤞

+x+x+x+x+xCan't see Arnold bringing in too many changes for the games in 4 weeks. Biggest questions are: Will Elder finally come in? Are Holland and Rukavytsya finally going to be selected on merit? Luongo, Behich and Leckie are lacking fitness. Do they sit this big journey out? Should Glover miss out in minutes for Roos exposure? I say no and get Fed or some other reserve in. My squad Ryan, Langerak, Federici Grant Sainsbury Degenek Souttar Deng Elder Smith Mooy Rogic Hrustic Amini Irvine Holland Goodwin Mabil Taggart Maclaren Giannou Boyle Rukavytsya Just feel a more merit based squad will send some signals. It could make or break the dressing room by destroying some of the entitlement a few players seem to have and get the mindset right that spots must be earned. You've said merit based yet included Deng and Smith over Garrucio and Good......... in case you forgot.. Smith won the MLS(first aussie to do so) about a month ago and was one of Seattles better players... he just got to cardiff a few weeks ago.. some people my god.. and what about the time he spent on the bench or out of the squad at his parent club prior to his transfer? When he was playing week in week out in MLS id have been happy to see his recall but jesus he isnt playing at present Unfortunately he cant decide when MLS play.. he got a great move to the Championship and hes finally back injury free and playing.. although not quite yet for Cardiff.. But you wanna pick Garrucio over him? are u high? You called for a merit based selection........................ As it is it appears Garrucio isnt playing now anyway. Elder appears to be the only consistent left back and he was useless against Leeds on the weekend

+xNo travel ban for Kuwait and there's only one confirmed case in Nepal (if that's even where the game will be) so it would be frustrating if they did get postponed. Exactly. I think as many games should be played as possible. Is it wrong to have Asian teams fly to play elsewhere? I mean they want to prevent travel in general so it defeats the purpose. They don't want anyone, be it fans, players or officials congregating in many parts of the world.

Information that Australia may arrange a Euro based friendly if our qualifiers get postponed. Decent chance of a Euro camp and a rushed friendly somewhere against someone. It's all very unfortunate and actually throws so much out of whack.

+x+x+x+xArzani should be brought back into the squad, at least so Arnie and the national team staff can assess his recovery. It would also be good to get him back around his Socceroos team-mates. If he ends up getting fifteen or twenty minutes in one of the matches, then that would be a bonus. no free rides Arzani is a gun though. Scored nice goal in Celtic practice match v Middlesborough and peppered goals against Aberdeen practice game- back to decent form. 1 of our best attacking players. Should be in squad at least 100% we need to at least see where he is... maybe a good performance might get him a move lined up for the summer too. Nah should stay under the career guidance of neil lennon 👍

Sorry, imo Glover should be nowhere near senior national team discussion at this time, even just to give him exposure to the squad and system. He has done nothing yet to suggest he will be a frontline candidate in the future. Agree. He’d probably be warming the bench at most other HAL clubs tbh. If we are looking at calling up a youngish keeper, then Izzo should be called up considering he is probably one of the best Aussie keepers in the league now.

He’s not a bad player but he probably is the worst LB AU have had in a number of years. Elrich, Goodwin were all better and Maria probably is as well. Edit: Galloway is better as well but I forgot about him.

Deng did well for the Olyroos. I'm glad Garuccio is playing again.

Jones over Federici. Could be worth giving Arzani a run. The likes of Leckie and Borrello will be called up.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

He should keep playing for City. Federici for this window.
