+xBrown has to be benched. We missed Carl today too imo. -PB As soon as we have CB cover when either Georg or Donachie are ready, Broxham is taking his spot, no doubt. Storm hasn't been half as bad, but looking forward to a back line of: Deng - Niedermeier - Donachie - Broxham With either or probably both of Roux and Brown on the bench to come on for any outs in the back, with of course Broxham shifting to fill the gap.

What a shit day for the club :(
Losing in the semi-final for the ladies, and then being schooled (again) by Perth in the men's to essentially rule out any chance at the Premiership.

The reality is we had 3 missing (Ola, Carl, Dongs) and 2 at half speed (Honda, Georg) and it was an even match against a fully fit Perth. MV have chosen a very good squad to do well at ACL and finals but with 3 imports (plus Carl) over 30 it was always going to run the risk of not being able to win the plate due to old man injuries. In a salary capped league with restrictions on squads if is virtually impossible to win the plate, the trophy and do well in ACL all in the one season.
Full trophy cabinet (but yours looks a bit empty) ! Reigning BACK2BACK 442 A League and World Cup (Mens and Womens) Tipping Champion - so yeap, I do know best !

I think we've done exceptionally well with the team we've been putting on the park week in week out and there's no shame in losing to that Perth team, that was a strong team they had. We just need to get our best team on the pitch like we almost had earlier in the year when our play was incredible.
If this team gets on the pitch together...look out.
Ola, Kosta up top. Troisi behind them. Terry and Honda with Baena behind them. Then Deng, Donks, Georg and Brox. Thomas in goal.

The 4-3-3 was back last night due to too necessity, but we look way more dangerous playing the 4-4-2 diamond. The team that wins the premiership usually has a great run with injuries, unfortunately it's not our year this year.

If Ola is injured long term, we are fucked. More important than Honda in my opinion

Changrai United beating Yangoon United 3-1.
Changrai will travel away to Sanfrecce Hiroshima to play off for a spot in our group on Tuesday 19th at 9pm Melbourne time.

The amount of shit kenny cops every week from our own is sickening. Same people bagged out brox and Danny and kempy. Also same people bagged kosta that day in geelong and it took a while for kosta to get back to his normal self.

Also same people bagged kosta that day in geelong and it took a while for kosta to get back to his normal self. People see Kenny and want him to be Ola. It is totally unfair. Kenny is progressing well. He and Elvis need some game time to improve. To KM credit or due to injuries this is happening. MV fans should be proud of what the team has achieved this year. Considering the injuries it has been impressive. We are playing exciting football and setting ourselves up for ACL and the finals. Tonight a perfect example. A draw away against a good side that played well. You should be happy with the team and with Kenny.

Kenny butchered many chances and is not up to scratch imo (he still could improve). But some of the attacks on social media are extremely poor behavior.

Allsopp and broxy. They also targetted kosta when we played perth in geelong. They forget players do hear it and actually get hurt by it.

Kenny's a lovely bloke and if people are crossing the line on social media then shame on them, but he's had enough of a chance now to show that he's not quite A-League level, or at least not Victory level.
Elvis, on the other hand, has adapted very well.

What’s everyones thoughts on Lesiotis? Thought he was great against Wellington considering his relative inexperience. Seems to taking his opportunities with both hands so well done to the lad.

He reminds me of simon. A big lump of a lad who looks like bambi on ice but provides much needed physicality

Need to sign Kosta up ASAP for next year. Have this niggling feeling that WMG will make a serious play for him.

I think he has the potential to be Valeris replacement one day. He looks like a good young player and is calm on the ball under pressure.
