I like the video they’ve put up on Facebook. Nice community feel about it and a good touch having Emerton involved.
Certainly going about things the right way.

These guys are doing it properly. Western Melbourne on the other hand conned FFA into believing their bullshit. Zero fan/community engagement so far, I live out west and have heard absolutely nothing.

Macarthur South West A League TeamAll the data is in - really excited with all the options. Over 120,000 engagements this month. Now the hard work work starts on working on name and colours - thanks to everyone who has completed the survey Big announcement in May they say.

+xGoing to be awkward if they release a logo/ playing kit and coach before Western United does Agreed! But reading between the lines I’m fairly sure WU already have their coach, and they just can’t announce it yet because they’re still under contract elsewhere next season (Rudan is the obvious name)

Jot down the date May 15 into your diaries. The new Macarthur A-League team's name, colours and logo will be officially unveiled on that day at the Campbelltown Catholic Club (time to be confirmed). The Macarthur South West United made the announcement via its Twitter page this afternoon. Macarthur South West United wrapped up its community online surveys earlier this month, where residents were asked to give feedback on the new club. Suggested names include the South West Magpies and Macarthur FC. Unity's deputy chairman Gino Marra recently told the Advertiser that he was "delighted with the community's response". "We received about 4000 surveys," he said." We have had some great suggestions and it's been a great response."

My suggestion for colours was black, pink and silver.
Home shirt: Black with single vertical pink stripe on left side of chest and a single pink hoop on the right sleeve and silver name and numbers. Black shorts and socks. Away Kit: Same as Home with black and silver reversed.
Would be good to see one of the talented posters on here produce a mock up of that.

Is that 1 name, like Mackay & Whitsundays Magpies Crusaders United FC?

+x+x+x+xif we are going with Rams White shirt with a shade darker white stripes and a maroon sash over the stripes. Black shorts White socks with Maroon tip. In their articles the club has repeatedly mentioned that they are to represent the whole of the south west. Would they use anything in their name that ties in with any of the 10 NPL clubs in the region? Respect your posts, but had a gut full of this prevailing attitude. Too scared to even have a fucking name these days. Next they will need to drop FC from names because it doesn't appeal to koalas will be annoyed if they replaced FC with SC. need to erase soccer from our vocabulary badly Some people get so fired up about the most trivial issues... By the way, make sure you let the poms know they're using the wrong name as well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soccer_Saturday

+xMacarthur FC sounds nice and clean and then use a magpie in the logo. Thats what Id be going for. I really hope they use Macarthur rather than South West. A quick IP Australia search bring back 3 results for a owner called MSW No 1 Pty Ltd. The three names listed are Macarthur Bulls FC, Macarthur FC and Dharawal Bulls. The two registrations were posted yesterday (10th April). No logos are posted, just the names.
Following the company name to an ABN search shows the company is based in the same location as Walker Corporation so it is certainly the correct buisness. On the ABN page it also list the team names FC Bulls, Dharawal Bulls FC, Bulls FC, Dharawal FC, Dharawal Football Club, and Macarthur & South West United FC, but none (apart from Dharawal Bulls) has been listed on the IP page so they are unlikely.
So it looks like one of the three listed on the IP Australia page is the name of the team.
