There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

That's nothing on the thousands who died and tens of thousands who were housed in mental illness/suicide factories under Labor/Greens.

To the liberal parties credit, it’s amazing how well they’ve managed to convince lower-income rural/outer-suburban voters to vote to give the inner-city folk (whom they deride as not understanding their plight) enormous tax cuts. They drum up the idea of the city people as being pretentious, soy-latte drinking “not real Aussies” and then vote to make themselves materially worse off and make city people better off.

The only thing you can do is laugh at the absurdity of it all.

Liberals look like they have 78 seats now. That's amazing which means whatever mandate they may have is now very strong & the Independents who were hoping to hold the government 'to account' on Climate Change now don't really have much of a leg to stand on.  The composition of the Senate will also be very interesting.

Perhaps, but ~150 who are there voluntarily is much less of a problem than tens of thousands detained and thousands dead.

I'm not sure if they're capable of soul searching.   When the left use elections, especially ones they expect to win, their final analysis tends to be that the public is stupid and chose the wrong party.  Just look at all the b celebs going ape shit on twitter, calling coalition voters dumb, bigoted and selfish, all because of who they cast their vote for.   The same thing happened in the US with Democrats, they couldn't stand the fact they had been outsmarted and outwitted by Trump so they blame stupid, ignorant voters and fake Russia collusion instead.

This is true and what you say seems to be the case. I am monitoring twitter and you got to admit, they appear to be very self-entitles, bitter and so salty.

They are as you say blaming voters for being stupid and selfish.

So very arrogant.

This.

I'm surprised we haven't received any international sanctions yet. We sure as hell deserve them.

Why would you receive sanctions? For protecting your border from illegal immigration?

Pull the other one. There isn't a country in the world that wouldn't protect its borders from illegal entries.

BTW, the crazy thing is this. It was under a Labor Government where there were thousands in detention centers and hundreds, if not thousands of drownings at sea. Entire families lost. Women, and children too.

LNP actually stopped the boats. Hardly anyone in detention centers and no new arrivals. Those who are still there might as well leave now despite being encouraged by the left wing activists to stay and cause maximum disturbance and havoc and also resulting in the "suicide attempts".

Why isn't anyone complaining about a delay in the tax cut? If you're gonna have a Liberal government, you may as well get that.

The delay is because Parliament will not open till late June 2019.

He is considering to make the new law retrospective so it really doesn't matter as people will still get their cut.

Just watched that.  Just the usual guff but I will make a comment on it.

It is strange the Libs don't seem to be held to account for the doubling of the debt over the last few years.

I'm sure if that were Labour you'd never hear the end of it.

well here is the truth.

The LNP were not responsible for all of it. Let's break it down.

When Howard left office there was no debt and there was money in the Bank.

After  years of Labor, there was Billion in debt and deficits all the time.

After  years of LNP, the deficit will disappear for the first time in 2020 and the debt is circa 500 Billion.

After your spendathons, it takes time to reign it in and Balance the Budget!

I remember very clearly when under Labor and the Greens detention centres were packed to the rafters with asylum seekers, tens of thousands of them, yet there was very little commotion from the Left about this.  It was only after they lost government, and detention centres started closing, that all of a sudden this concept of detaining people became some great act of inhumanity and cruelty.  This was most poignant when that chap got bashed by PNG locals and died, and the subsequent confected public outrage , candlelight vigils, crocodile tears and protests against the government. Yet these very same people were deadly silent when thousands were dying and tens of thousands locked up.  I guess what I learnt is that the left interpret ethics and morality differently depending on who is in government.

So like I was saying the debt doubled under the Liberals and they seem to be getting a free pass.  Good that they have plans to reduce it but it's odd they don't get any grief about it.

This. The Libs have increased the debt far more than Labor did when they were in office yet they have the audacity to fear monger over how much Labor's policies will cost. Friendlyjordies made this point as well.

10's of thousands Russ?  All at once?  Seems a tad exaggerated.  (Not disagreeing with anything else you're saying but you don't do yourself any favours when you make ridiculous claims.)
