Everyone talks about how Slory has a bad attitude and 'acts like he's a class above' but all that can really be judged on is by his body language when he's on the pitch. To me it looks like he actually gives a shit, which is nice compared to a lot of the rest of the team.
Seriously if every player in the team had that much feeling when they played we wouldn't be in this position.

Here is a diagram I stole from one of Rini’s secret training sessions. It’s a really potent formation, Particularly the midfield. I hope the other teams don’t get hold of it :-$ :-$

Seriously if every player in the team had that much feeling when they played we wouldn't be in this position. That's why football is fun. You see what you see and I see what I see - and they are not the same things. Personally I think he does give a shit - about himself. There was a moment after he cam on when he could have squared the ball to an AU player who would have been free and open on goal. Did he? No. He shot from an impossible position and missed. I have no doubt he wants to do well. It doesn't look like he cares that the team does well. But that's just what I see. Doesn't mean I'm right.

I mean what were they thinking. Do they not know history?
1978 - Grease - Nerdy character named Eugene who wore bow ties. 1980's - Revenge of the Nerds - Nerdy character named Eugene who wore bow ties. 2011 - Adelaide United - Nerdy character named Eugene who wears bow ties, cannot play, yet his praised for his 'style'?
I've composed a little number that I think the red army should learn.....
"Eugene's Bow Ties" (to the tune of American Pie)
A long, long time ago I can still remember how Adelaide United used to make me smile And I knew if they'd take their chance An ALeague title would make the people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while But Last season made me shiver The new owners said they'd deliver The team was playing with no pep The defense was always behind a step I can't remember if I cried When I heard about the team divide We were promised a new side, The day Eugene arrived
We were singing, Hi, Hi, to our new prize He hasn't played for a team since 2005 But the Ukranian team are ranked quite high The United board must have this one right, Is it true that he wears bow ties?
Rini's assessment was quite blunt He had no faith in Dodd up front Even though Val loved him soooooo, Now do you believe in Rini's plan? Can he convince us he's the man? And can he sell Reid even if he's slow?
Well, we we're all in love with him 'Cause he got rid of that plumber Jim The next to go was Hughes And Jamieson went to the blues But Vidosic came for the marquee buck Caravella came on a fruit and Veg truck But I knew we were out of luck The day Levchenko signed I started singin'
Why? Why? I hear he wears bow ties Gliteratzzi rate his fashion quite high He hasn't played for a team since 2005 Singin' Why did they sign this guy? He even pulls his shorts up too high
Now, the season is but 5 weeks old, The midfield will get better so we're told But, that's how Vidmar used to be The team is now wearing yellow boots, And Val is wearing Armani suits, Whilst We've only drawn 1 in the last 3 And while the new owners are looking down Rinis smile has become a frown They brought back Djite instead of Burns Lets hope from injury Lev never returns But while his passes often miss their mark The action happens off the park when the bow ties come out after dark The day the supporters cried...
The Crowd are singin' Bye, bye to Eugene's bow ties He hasn't played for a team since 2005 The United board must have had sh1t in their eyes Singin' please get rid of this guy sign someone who doesn't wear bow ties.

I did a google image search to test the Eugene theory.
None of them were wearing bowties, and there are plenty of hot Korean girls name Eugene.
The more you know, etc.

Rini got a very strong side when he came to Adelaide (after we turned down Ange Postecoglou) and he was given the keys to Viddie's ACL squad. He's now gutted that squad and rebuilt it as he's seen fit. He's made some good signings but he also has bought in some overpaid average imports who aren't better than what's available in this country. Is Usacar or Levchenko or Slory worth a visa spot? If you use Cassio, Flores, van Djik and Rech as the standard, then none of Rinis imports have made the grade yet..
It seems like our team was put together in a very haphazard way and now Rini is now trying to find a structure to suit the players he's signed rather than signing players to suit the structure he was going to implement. Djite for example,I'm a big Djite fan from his first stint with us but what's the point on bringing him in to play with SVD; they are hardly complementary; unless we have one eye on selling SVD to the Indonesian league and are preparing for life after Serg. I dont see how Rinis going to be able to play them both effectively unless we keep pumping it long to them, is that Rinis master plan? We have 5-7 cbs in Susak, Mckain, Boogaard, Mullen (who they don't seem to consider to be a rb any more), Golec plus Levchenko + Malik who can play there, but we have 2-3 wingers. Plus we are chopping and changing but iirc still haven't created a single goal from open play and rely on the mistakes of the opponents and individual efforts. If only Reid hadn't been such a giant douche because we are missing him.
Hopefully we are just suffering from teething problems and Rini can iron it all out and get the boys fit and playing well but so far its not been looking good.
In the meantime I guess we'll have to keep praying that Flores will come back as a guest player [-o<

I only have my current members sticker on the back of my car as my other two were on the back window of my old car which got written off by a Pajero (such an appropraitely named car) driver t-boning it. I wonder if all the whinging fools will now start feeling all smug about being 'members' again?

Don't listen to 5AA so no, but they are a good counter to Cornes & whatshisname with the terrible way of speaking.

About last weeks game with regards to the red army and red terrace groups, well done with the banners and the chanting last game had a lot of passion and intensity for longer periods of the game. I support multiple supporter groups. This isn't a bad thing.

So I saw that article on the AU website about the memberships. Seems they want to get rid of the 'season ticket holder' label to appease those who were complaining about not being called a member anymore. I think it's a good move - as they have still separated the membership into 'financial' and 'honorary'.
All part of the learning process I guess.
