This Luke Thompson reminds me of toleman version 2 for the best forward in English super league he hasn’t impressed me so far , if Barrett wants results in 2021 he would have 2 do a garage sale so many of our 13 run on players just aren’t good enough

I don't expect a lot from Barrett next year. He basically needs to blow the place up and start again. Unfortunately the lack of Q cup and NSW cup makes identification and development of the next generation of players difficult.

As much as I admire and like Josh Jackson he makes it look hard out there.

+xFvcking Tolman in the road again. I think we should name him "pothole". When Tolman came on the Bulldogs changed back to Desball. He mesmerised the team. Not content with taken a couple of hit ups from 10 metres, then from the line drop loses the ball and tops it off with getting in the way of the kicker. SG watches this and leaves him on. Katoa was just about our best (with RFM). Looked likely to create something and doesn't seem to hear Tolman calling the ball. What about putting the 7 on his back next week. I'm afraid Lewis only creates despair in the supporters. No vision with the ball. Great defence but the Storm targeted him and lured Jackson in to support him, leaving Avo and DWZ exposed. Jacko saw a few ghosts out there today, in the Kenny B try and the pass for the Vunivalo try. The whole 3/4 (excuse Avo atm) are not up to first grade.

I am lost for words. After several weeks of showing a glimpse of what could have been an enjoyable end to a very dismal year, they come out against a severely depleted Storm and dish out this total garbage. But do you place the blame completely on the players or do you accept that we are in the twilight of a hangover from a former egotistic maniac that showed scant regard of the condition he would leave a club in, a narcissistic chairman who allowed the maniac to persue glory at any cost just to save his own position and status and a CEO who was completely beyond her capabilities in not only knowing what was happening but how to control the situation and as a result we have a shed full of Diahatsu Charades that have to compete against porches, ferraris and lamborghinis week in week out.

yes I agree nodster, Tolman has to be given a bit if time off to think about his duties as a forward. He alwsys seems to appear where and when he isn't required, but goes missing when he is.

There has to be an element of coaching in it. When we need a hit up the forwards should present to the dummy half. At other times the playmakers should present. This should be sorted at training and if the players don't do it take action. We also have an on field captain

Better to focus on the positives that way it is a short conversation. Katoa was a big improver. Odgen showing some promise. RFM good every week. Meaney mostly good at fullback. Foran Ok, good catch from Smith. Thompson showing the gap between EPL and NRL plus a poor preparation, judge him next season, For once I was happy with Napa. Some of our more senior players DWZ, Jacko and Tolman are letting the side down. Lewis has been playing long enough to be more consistent and JMK added nothing. Smith was needed due to injury but otheotherwise the bench contributed little. Take out the patches of mindless attack and poor execution there were some diamonds amongst the rocks. Really the game was a mix of good, bad and ugly, with too much bad and way too muvh ugly.

He is used as a battering ram and yet in England he was a prop and ran angles, offloaded. But we have Aiden. The Tolman infection. Surely Ogden, Renouf and others in the top 30 must be peed off to see Tolman absolutely Fvvking our attack. He need to go or be given a desk job. Bring on 2021

I didn't think there was much in either Lewis incident if you play league or even touch, you have copped plenty and done plenty, particularly the 2nd one. The consideration being the first one bounced up from the chest. But perhaps it is time to try Wakeham again, when Lews is bad, he reduces our chances of winning to zero.
I'm totally over DWZ he was most responsible for 2 out of the first 3 Storm tries, it isn't like he has had a stellar season. Pay played him at fullback for far too long, but the guy has been a deadset liability every week all year. To be fair we need to throw Tolman into that category in attack, Tols offers something in defence but overall he is another liability. Sometimes players need to be dropped.

4 clubs in talks with nick meany his off contract but that’s not listed on the off contracted players he only signed for 2 years & his off contract it depends on Barrett & on the rugby league report saying katoni stagg is putting him on the open market now for end of 2021 season as his not staying in Brisbane maybe that blond bomdshell mckenzie Robinson is giving him a hard time man she is drop dead gorgeous looks like a youn Paris Hilton

Bring on 2021 I think he needs a offseason preparation and needs the props to lay a platform, plus a better understanding with the rest of the team. At least he did nothing wrong. The poor pass from Jacko leading to the Storm try summed up the game, it was a shambles. Our forwards are throwing too many passes, Lewis may have been off the field, but we do it a lot. If we are playing flat we need to play over the advantage line, if we are passing we need to stand deeper. Standing shallow and slow passing is the one formula that has never worked. However at times we did have players in motion running on top passes and Katoa looked dangerous after a couple of offloads, those were the good bits.

If Meaney goes, we need to put Averllo back to fullback and/or sign a proper fullback. With Hoppa, Lafai and Cotric we have some good options for the centres. Smith, Okunbor and DWZ for wing. Montoya is ok for backup, he has no pace, but has a dig.

Tony, you need to book into Spec savers if you think Paris Hilton is (or ever was) "drop dead gorgeous". Mate she is as ugly on the inside as she is on the outside.

Meaney is great under the high ball, decent speed, and just ok hands and positional play in O.... He still won’t take a bruise... Prefer him back on the wing or not at all...

We certainly have a number of players in this team who aren't permanent first graders. But I'd like to see us play properly for a few weeks to determine who we keep, who we give up on and who we give another chance to. Most teams in the bottom half of the comp are carrying 2 or 3 players who arent permanent first graders but when they play properly, they can cover the deficiency of these players. We on the other hand, not only have too many of these players, we often play with the wrong style that exacerbates the problem. The challenge for Barrett between now and end of season, is to determine who to keep and who to let go. I'm sure he has a certain style he'd like the team to play. I'll be spewing he thinks Tolman has a future in this team. Someone so valuable such as Tolman should have absolutely no problems in securing Jobseeker

I prefer to keep them both and even sign Hynes, because fullback is an important postition the strong clubs have more than 1 good fullback. All 3 can play other positions.

Probably a good reason why he isn't listed. If you look at it we were down 23-10 and deep deep in Storm's half..Everyone..well maybe one or two is thinking 23-16 ball game..but it is a disaster of Poseidon Adventure proportions. BigT...ignore everything that says rumour. Was Renouf injured today? I didn't think he has been so bad. We did some good things today but hell we also did some absolute shockers.

I can tell alot from 1 or 2 games. I dont need to see them play 10 games before accurately predicting if they cut the mustard or not.

This was on zero tackle...I do not read The Kennel but I suggest it may have been the source for an untrue story on Meaney. I don't know about Pangai...some of his defensive work is bordering on "non-existent" St Helens prop Alex Walmsley and Wigan centre Oliver Gildart are on the Bulldogs’ radar as both look to test and showcase their talents in the NRL, reports The Daily Telegraph. Canterbury have also expressed interest in the contract situation surrounding Tevita Pangai Jr.Walmsley and Gildart are currently contracted to their clubs, but have expressed interest in a move to Australia.Walmsley, who is contracted to St Helens until 2022, has previously played a current member of the Bulldogs – Luke Thompson – who both helped lead St Helens claim last year’s Super League grand final as front-rowers.Walmsley and the Bulldogs were in discussions over a potential deal last year, but that couldn’t be agreed on and instead signed Thompson. The Bulldogs could have money to spend should they opt not to re-sign off-contract pair Aiden Tolman and Adam Elliott.Gildart, 23, is a highly rated centre in the Super League, where he has won two Super League grand finals and a World Club Challenge while also representing England and Great Britain. He is contracted at Wigan until next year but has a get-out clause in his contract which could allow him to make the move to the NRL that he wants.Canterbury have had great relationships previously with English players, including names such as Jonathan Davies, Brian Lockwood, Doug Laughton, Mick Adams, James Graham and now Luke Thompson.Although it’s unclear whether Walmsley and Gildart will indeed sign with Canterbury, both parties have a clear interest.Walmsley said recently: “The NRL is certainly something I’ve thought about and it’s something I’m open to but what I can say is, if I don’t do it now, I won’t ever do it.”Close contacts with Pangai Jr believe the star is uneasy at the Broncos, which has opened the door for a potential move, despite him being contracted until the end of 2022.Recent reports suggested Pangai Jr wants to leave the Broncos and that he contacted the Sydney Roosters to sound out interest in him.
