Could have been a kid up here wearing a Broncos jersey. As the Apple ad says Puke Emoji.

Luckily the grandparents up here loved their bulldog so much they followed the bulldogs.
Moolooaba eh' Spent 1 year of of my life down there mainly in Troppo's at the old  Mooloolaba Hotel.  Thursday arvo, Friday and Saturday nights plus big Sunday sessions in the bar. The year I was old enough to get in and 12 months later some developer turd down there tore it down. The only thing that kept me sane down there working for Jacka Fishing Co.The last night there ever was huge. Slept on ground across the road in the caravan park. The people who had their van on the spot were not very happy with me falling all over their camping chairs then disposing of the filtered XXXX through the air like I was hosing down a burning building
The old Sunny Coast was a great place

Caravan park on the water now a car park.  New pub Mooloolaba just down the road.  Close to the old location but very second rate outlook.

On Zero tackle and stated as a hypothetical but certainly rings true

Matt Burton doesn’t hold the name value of others on this list, however his hypothetical move to the Bulldogs could prove to be a huge game changer long term. The Panthers youngster has all the abilities to become a genuine star in the top grade. He showed us much early on in the season before falling behind Tyrone May for the utility spot.He walks into the Bulldogs as their number six or seven and can honestly sit in that spot for the next few seasons. Pair him with a veteran, controlling half, and suddenly the Bulldogs fortunes looks vastly different. There are rumours Barrett wants this to happen and Penrith are supposedly partially open to allowing Burton to move. If I were Barrett I’d make Burton my number one target and get this done ASAP.

SMH article on Ballesty & his dealing with Laundy group

Its saying apparently the Sponsorship deal is worth just a measly $500k a season for 2.5 seasons. This year it was a free hit for them paying $0.

If that’s the case..... the other sponsors would be pissed seeing the minimal amount they’ve paid compared to them especially the sleeve and back of jersey sponsors.

Something has got to be done about the six again.  There is no semblance of consistency within a game, from game to game or referee to referee.  Now they're extending it to 10 metre breaches.  No consideration to what is advantageous to a team.  Maybe 2 points, maybe distance and a new six.  Referee now the defacto captain.  In the words of the great Jack Gibson.  " You blow the penalty and we'll decide the advantage"

Whilst the Cowboys won comfortably in the end...good on them...the bunker again tried to even the score....Cowboys leading 16-12 Broncos "scored" a no try thanks to the bunker who ruled the Brisbane player did not rake the ball out of the Cowboy's players hands...it had a cumming's "Six again" about it.

I hope we sign Tristan Sailor ... at our club an option for fullback, wing and 5/8, not sure if he plays centre.

A good chance to make our top 17 on merit each week.

Went a bit unnoticed on Wed, but we've finalised our coaching staff for '21, which I must give credit to for all involved. All this happened a lot quicker than I and I bet most expected. And though I don't know all the names I haven't heard a bad word spoken about any of them and in fact some big names say we've assembled quite a crack crew.

Mr Potato Head Gould was particularly impressed by David Tangata-Toa who is transition coach (which is preparing development/junior players for NRL - I looked it up).

Best part about it is - it's a completely new team. A broom has been put through the place and there's new faces and new ideas. Sends a message, more than a message... sends a FACT... that everything about how we prepare and play football is gonna change.

21st century - we finally made it!

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have finalised their brand new Coaching and High Performance staff for 2021, with Dan Ferris to be their new Head of High Performance.

Ferris, who is currently Head of High Performance with the Gold Coast Titans and had previously worked with Head Coach, Trent Barrett, at the Manly Sea Eagles, will oversee a new group that will include Strength and Conditioning Coach Luke Portese, who will make the move from the Penrith Panthers.

In addition, the Bulldogs will have a new Chief Medical Officer, with former Waratah and Australian Sevens player, Luke Inman, taking over that role.

Inman, has had a number of high profile medical roles in sport, including working with the Waratahs, Sydney Swans and Australian Men's and Women's Sevens Rugby Union teams, in addition to the Manly Sea Eagles, Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm.

The full Bulldogs Coaching and High Performance Staff for 2021 is now complete and listed below.

Trent Barrett - Head Coach

295 First Grade games: Illawarra Steelers, St George Illawarra, Cronulla Sharks, Wigan. Head Coach Manly Sea Eagles - 2016-18, Current Assistant Coach Penrith Panthers

David Furner - Assistant Coach
300 First Grade Games Canberra, Wigan, Leeds. Canberra Head Coach 4 years, Leeds Head Coach, Assistant Coach Cowboys Premiers 2015, Current Knights Assistant Coach.

Craig Sandercock- Assistant Coach
Head Coach Hull KR – Super League 2012,13,14. Sea Eagles Assistant Coach 2008,09,  Knights Assistant Coach 2010,11,  Wests Tigers 2016,17,18, Current Cronulla Sharks Assistant.

Mick Potter - Mounties Canterbury Cup Coach
Bulldogs Premiership winner 84',85', Head Coach Catalans Dragons 2006-08, St Helens 09-10, Bradford Bulls 11-12, Wests Tigers 13-14.

David Tangata-Toa - Transition Coach
2013-2017- Penrith Panthers Juniors, 2017 – Head Coach NYC Panthers, 2018 - Head Coach Townsville Blackhawks U/20s, 2019- Current NRL Cowboys Assistant Coach.

Dan Ferris - Head of High Performance
2018 - Present - Head of High Performance, Gold Coast Titans, 2015-18 Head Of Physical Performance, Manly Sea Eagles

Luke Portese - Strength and Conditioning Coach
Present - Strength and Conditioning Coach, Penrith Panthers

Luke Inman - Chief Medical Officer
Present - Melbourne Storm (Sydney Docter), 2015-19 Chief Medical Officer, Manly Sea Eagles, 2013-15 Australian Men's and Women's Team Doctor

I think it’s a good idea to have the coaches locked in before we buy the players.

Two reasons:

I’d rather the blokes on the way in doing the recruiting rather than the ones on the way out.

Players we approach know who they’re gonna be coached by from top to bottom.

Watching John Fahey funeral I see her used to play for the Bulldogs? There's a couple of photos of him in a CB Jersey. Canterbury junior?
He seems like a bulldogs supporter as well wearing a bulldogs Jersey in his older years taking photos with Terry Lamb.

I am trying to be optimistic about the Barrett signing. I like the guy, always wanted him playing for us. But he was terrible at Manly. Obviously he has Penrith playing well but he isn’t head coach. I’m having huge doubts already.

If we sign a good hooker, halfback, fullback and prop it may change my concerns. But the players we currently have aren’t walking into other teams. And we lack strike players, smart players and some mongrel.

Just watch the Cowboys last night, they made such easy meters and looked sharp from dummy half and out wide. We aren’t close to them and they finished 14th. That’s just one rung up the ladder.

Obviously we don’t have the team yet, signings are desperately needed. But is that all that’s needed?

Sorry about the pessimistic comments. But I’m struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel

The coaches also help attract good players.

1. Perhaps they have been coached by one of the guys before.
2. They know someone who has.

Looking at the available talent, Hetherington, Salior and Townsend are good candidates.
After that we need a hooker and a centre...

We have the coaches, the spaces and the cash, 1 or 2 good signings will get the ball rolling.
