Heard about this today.  Worst idea ever. Who cares if you go to work in the dark in March, it's still light when you get home and that's good.

Bloody 10 thousand yokels out on the NSW / SA border trying to tell 7 million people on the Eastern seaboard what's what.

In June, July, August you go to work in the dark and no one whinges about that.  Why the stink over March?
If anything there should be double daylight saving.  2 hours in summer and 1 hour in winter.

I am disturbed by the shitstorm over a Perth mother painting her son's face brown so he could be like his hero Nic Nat from the West Coast Eagles.

Is this what we want to teach our kids? That our heroes have to be the same colour as we are? Nic Nat even posted that he was upset by the backlash.

If Nic Nat was offended, sure, it's  inappropriate. But this is a kid who isn't blinded by race wanting to be like his idol. This sort of thing should be celebrated rather than condemned.
