Guess with him and Mileusnic we have replaced DWH and Champness on paper...?

No replacement for Danzaki yet (in terms of class and quality).

I can see how he fits into our system.

Looking forward to some pre-season games to have a proper look at our evolving team.

I think the 2  signings might be a net + compared to DWH and Champness.  Hopefully we can add another player with Danzaki's quality to the team soon.

Looks like Lescano is getting announced today. 

My gut feel is O’Shea/Daley are the replacements for Danzaki with Steinmann taking over the DM role.

Transfermarkt suggests Brindell-South is a left back even though we play him on the right - which means Hingert is our only dedicated right back. We have also used Neville there.

There is strength in most positions to build a good team around a few formations.

I'd prefer a back 4 too. We seem to tie up too much defensively with the 5, and lose the midfield going forward as a few people have noted over the last season - but Moon seems to choose it so I went that way.

I'd swap out Akbari for Mileusnic in your line up to give us much more coming through the midfield and wings. Holding and carrying the ball through midfield either up the middle or wide was something we struggled with last season. Having Brown and Mileusnic overlapping on the left gives more options same as we would have O'Shea/Ivanovic and Hingert/Neville/Brindell-South doing the same on the right.

I’m completely unimpressed with the new acquisitions and the club itself. Completely.

I'm pretty sure we will stay with the back 5 so we are definitely light on centre backs. Kudo is gone now so we have a foreign spot to fill. I think it will be be an attacking midfielder or winger though. 

I'm reasonably happy with where we are with the squad, lots of youth and the squad we had last season got with in a couple of have of the gf. I think we are stronger than that now

We generally all agreed that we needed a real DM - and I think we are much better off now with Steinmann. We needed to free up O'Shea to play further forward and Steinmann lets that happen too.

We needed the ability to control the midfield more, and Steinmann at the back with O'Shea, Parsons, Mileusnic and Ivanovic all work towards that.

Perhaps most crucially, we needed more accuracy in front of goals to convert the chances we were making. With Lescano it will be interesting to see if he knows where the net is, but with him, Mileusnic, Parsons, and Ivanovic (and O'Shea to hit the ball high over the crossbar for his first shot each game) I do not think we are any worse off.

Looking forward to seeing them play.

Maybe we will get a foreign striker yet with Kudo and Danzaki gone.

I've been around long enough to know cv don't mean anything for visa players. Broich Berisha v kudo from last season. 

I'm more interested in seeing what young players that are in the npl or our youth system than some recycled aging a league player or a returning from euro Aussie. Unless it's a mooy, rogic or azani like there not many exciting players unless they are visa players. Like I said above it's a mix bag.

Given the other clubs are already emailing out codes, that says to me it's something going wrong on the Roar Membership side of things. Maybe they haven't assigned membership numbers or something yet and that is needed in order to get the codes? 

Given David Pourre was helping out by manning the phones when we had the finals football mania going on, I expect the admin team are working their butts off for us again to try and get us the info as soon as they can.

Pretty sure Waz got tired of the same battles/discussions and things between him and others were consistently pointed from both sides - so he probably decided that coaching his own team and living his own life was worth more to him.

But you could equally move this post to the Rumours thread because it is all just my speculation.

Shame if true always enjoyed his posts. 

It seems he got fed up with some of the personal attacks that may have been directed at him.  Certainly a loss to the discussions in this thread.

He was pretty good giving it out tbh, some of the stuff he posted was just wrong.

It all went both ways from what I saw. Who threw the first key was not relevant in the end.

Yes, a loss tot eh forum. Both his personal knowledge, opinions and experience and his involvement with the RSF gave his posts a lot.

Hopefully he pops in from time to time anonymously just to keep track.
