+xsome nice football to watch...no surprises with the score line tbh all the obvious things need to be sorted Agreed, Spurs showed their intent, even big Harry was tracking back to chase his own ball. I think Maddison will be a great tool for Ange this season... Still desperately need to sort out the backline but its their first hitout too, I wouldn't be too fussed if I was a Spurs supporter... The guys in England going off their chops is funny as though...

+x+xThe post-match reaction from many of the Spurs fans on Social Media such as #AngeOut trending after the game on Twitter was dreadful to see. Zero respect. Tottenham don't deserve a manager like Ange. They have the Chelsea hire & fire mentality as a fan base and a complete hatred for their board. Ange will be damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. Kind of wish he stayed at Celtic where he was adored. Hahahahaha Seriously one of the most deluded fan bases in world football. 1 trophy in 15 years. FFS! lol

+xExpect Spurs are heading to Australia tonight? Hojberg linked to a move. Good start with Spurs cleanout. Chelsea though.... Sanchez, Hojberg, Lo Celso & probably Lloris.

+xDisappointed there has been no CB signings before the preseason tour. Pretty much every Spurs fans current gripe. I get the feeling Ange wants to see Dier train and play whilst working on one of VDV/Tapsoba in the background.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9SpQZ_blnkFull press conference. 'I've never considered social media to be a barometer of who we are.' Bloke will have a book of quotes come career end. Just a good start for a press conference. I do feel we as Australian fans have heard a lot of this before. By no means am I saying it's repetitive, but Ange just has a certain way of saying things well. It is true that this job is the hardest since the Socceroos in that his team isn't near the absolute best in its competition. Yokohama Marinos have generally had a good standing and we know where Celtic stand, so I look forward to the reactions to the pressure like how the press will challenge him on how he sets up and plays.

+x+xDone deal with Barca, 45mil Euro. The Spurs are in a bit of a transfer quandary at the moment, with Bayern circling for Kane, other teams are noticing that a deal may happen and are leveraging off potential revenues to increase their asking price on Tottenham targets. Wolfsburg have raised their asking price for Van De Vene to 40-45mil pounds which is insane for an unproved 22 year old with potential. My guess is the Tapsoba deal will get done before they jet-off to Australia and the rest will depend on outflows of deadwood and the Kane deal. I think they should let Kane go. I know its a tough call, but Ange can't build a system around Kane only for him to leave in 6 or 12 months. lets see if Richarlison can produce the goods under Ange. I think if they can get 80mil + add ons for Kane they would be crazy not to take it. 30 goals a season CAN be replaced IF 3 players can add 10 goals each to their tally. We know Ange teams like to spread goals around. Richarlison presses a lot more aggressively than Kane. Knowing how tight Levy is with transfers, there's no hope of a rebuild without the revenue. Similar to when Liverpool had to sell Coutinho to rebuild their side under Klopp.

+x+xHe will get a year to prove himself, but the bare minimum is; - Top 6 (ideally Top 5 with UCL qualification) - Late run in the cups - Clear the deadwood in 2 transfer windows - Fresh injection of players - Attacking football that's attractive on the eye Those are his KPI's, which for such a cut-throat league and a high profile team as Tottenham is a fairly wide berth. Anything less is a failure and he will be gone mid second season. I think that's more than fair. In terms of points, you usually need high 60's-low 70's for a champions league spot. with 5th qualifying next season, mid 60's might be enough. I don't think that's an unrealistic target, even after an expected slow start. Yep pretty much what I believe in my posts. EPL you have to deliver not just the gaffa. Just read a Poch article and he says what’s expected period : Football is about today or yesterday. We cannot talk long term. We cannot tell people we need six months, I think it is not good.

+x+x+x+xSome quality deals to bring in a lot of freshness and hunger. Those who run Spurs need to take it easy and a top 8 finish this season is perfectly fine if you ask me. Wait until the 2nd or 3rd season to see the lift I reckon. Cheeez have you been watching and following EPL regularly ? He'll have 2 max putting my neck out now, Top 8 ? that is not acceptable no way and 8th is NO Europe games at all just as this past season and having Villa and Brighton finish above them and just 1point over Brentford. That is not Spurs and worse the Gooners have smacked them. Toons grabbed LFC's and Spurs 4th place, that's the target period in Levy's mind despite him not saying so/the board and more so the supporters expectations. They have been in Europe games in some shape or form from 2010, you think that is going to sit lightly - think of the drop in $$$'s for starters. Europa would be the consolation and Ange's saving grace at the best I'm sorry to say. I see what you mean. I've always thought that the CL final loss to Liverpool was pretty much their ceiling until they do a reform, which from their lower base in regards to reforms, would be the biggest overhaul seen at an EPL club. I say top 8 because you said it, a new batch of clubs are in town and I see this as one of the most competitive EPL seasons yet. Perhaps we'll see a small point difference between 4th and 8th. Just checking now. 6 point gap from in 15/16 but 20 the season after. Anything less is a failure and he will be gone mid second season. Your being generous mate... "Gone by Christmas" might be almost a meme nowadays but it is still pretty true... Brentford, Burnley, Bournmouth,Sheffield, Luton and Fulham in the first 9 rounds... Anything less than top 3-4 by the time they face Man City in December and there will be grumblings a plenty in London....

+x🙆♂️ #KYOGO2027 🙆♂️ We are delighted to announce that our Treble-Winning talisman Kyogo has signed a new four-year deal with the Club! 💚🇯🇵 #CelticFC🍀 Perfect deal for both parties. Kyogo can obtain Nakamura-like status at Parkhead and Celtic get to keep their talisman after losing Jota to SA. From a move to Spurs PoV, I think Ange has his eyes on other players than any from the SPFL (with the exception of maybe Hatate.)
