Micko, Why?. We have a jersey, it's blue and white and it represents ALL Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs supporters, inclusive of nationality, race, colour, gender, religion or political persuasion. We all bleed blue and white.... they are the only colours we need.

Your words are violence!!!… ;) I could care less to be honest… I don’t consider footballers role models… I don’t view sporting organisations as a moral compass… and often I question the true motivation behind these types of actions from Corporations… That said, as a a member of a marginalised community I may have a soft spot for an unvaxxed jersey…

+x+x+xDale Finucane copped two weeks because of a head clash with Crighton, and the NRLol said any contact with the head by any part of the body, deliberate or accidental is not tolerated. Therefore why didn't Crighton also get charged for contact with Finucane's head.... I know it's nit picking, but rules are rules or else the NRLol is a farce. Opened a massive can of worms if they’re saying accidental head clashes will result in suspension… Will lead to more binnings as well I expect…Finucanes was reckless probably deserved a week or two… I think you'll find it was the carelessness and the spectacular sight of the collision that cost him the suspension. I have no real issue with this one and 2 weeks is fair especially given the ugly injury. It would be unfair if James Graham copped suspension on say the 2014 GF incident. That one is what you call accidental and unrealistic to expect the defender to alter what would typically be a legal and safe tackling technique. The precedent im concerned about is when players slip or dive late and may cop a high shot very late, in an otherwise perfectly legal tackle. They already give it as a penalty and on report, but id hate to see suspensions on incidents like that where there is no time fir the defender to make a safe adjustment. Yes. Less care = more accidents. Definitely a relationship between care & accident.

The jersey will change for anyone with a dollar or a cause that allows the sale of more jerseys. Personally I wouldn't by one. They're over priced and out of date continually. As for the players standing down. Whether or not their stance is right or wrong they are being asked to advertise and promote something that goes against their beliefs, religion, culture. They appear to have been passive up till now and we're being forced to take a contrary active position.

That's the one I wear when going to games.... no advertising, no sponsers, no bullsh!t.

+xWell it finally happened… I have the spicy cough… If that is covid, from what I hear it is practically mandatory to have it in Sydney these days. The government might make that official.

I know nothing about the young guy making his debut for us this week.
I assume that he can play footy, and isn't a badminton player who got lost on his way to Homebush.

I’m just happy Topine is playing. I hope he kills it and earns a new contract.

Very hard to enjoy a game with Parra leading, it just isn't natural.

Parramatta wrre killing the pennies at half time and I thought they would go on with it, I watched the last 10 minutes and the eels were in slo-mo. They wont go too far into the finals if they make it.

They wont go too far into the finals if they make it. Parra played well but seemed to get every 50/50 call up to the time Cleary made a bad decision. I think that the flow of posession contributed to the tackle, he was trying to lift his sides morale with a big tackle and screwed up badly. Still deserves the send off and most of the suspension. 2nd half I thought Penrith were the better side. The way Parra started shows the way to play Penrith. Overall I doubt that this hurts the Panthers chances of winning the comp, their halves should be back on deck for the semis. I haven't looked at their run, but they will win a couple. Dropping out of the top 4 looks unlikely.

Good news for us is Mahoney and Kicks were fairly good.
Both a bit suspect in defence at times, Kicks more a lack of effort.
In our side I think that they will lift.
Parra might be signing Taupau for the semis, I don't like that. June 30th should be the cut-off.

All of that should be done in the offseason. But the bloody players association would hate that.
Mahoney is the hooker we have needed since Ennis left. The perfect fit. Kiks is the strike edge forward we have been missing since SBW left. He could take us to a grand final with the right players around him.

I would use him or use him as a decoy 1-2 times in every set at the opponents end. It took a while but TPJ's attitude, effort and work rate is a lot better with us. Give Kicks early ball, get him involved in attack, I bet he is more switched on in defence.

RL has lost the plot. All week we have been talking about the officiating stuff up with the Cows & Tigers, instead of an exciting game. Out of last night we have the lottery of who gets charged. On a smaller note tonight we have a player taking a penalty, called back to the mark, he then starts his run up and kicks the ball 3 or 4 metres past the mark. Nothing said.

It's because the clowns that are supposed to be running the show have no idea of how the game should be managed.

+xIt's because the clowns that are supposed to be running the show have no idea of how the game should be managed. It certainly does seem that way. I think the NRL are trying to create new fan bases and forgetting the people who are currently supporting the game.
The NRL love to change the game. Sometimes for no apparent reason. This annoys the fans like us who like the game how it used to be.

Rugby League has been here for 113 years and in that time there have been changes to the game, mostly for the better. They have gotten the thuggery out of the game and have made it an enjoyable sport to watch...... until recently.

Good to post another win.
The tackle on Averillo deserves a few weeks holiday leave.

If only we'd jagged a few wins in those early close games - I'd give us a chance of sneaking in the 8 and maybe doing something with this form. Oh well - I guess if we did win a few of those earlier games, we might still have Barrett so I maybe it's all for the best...

It’s a strange feeling going into games expecting to win. But there isn’t a team in the comp I think we can’t beat. Burto is just getter ng so much better each game. Even if our forwards switch off or get dominated he just boots us out of trouble. Avo, Fox and Kiraz are constantly looking like they will score. Burns and Schoup are perfect defensively. Even Flanno looks dangerous in attack but is clearly the best defensive half in the comp.
Pangai is the best forward in the comp. A cross between Mason and Omeley. King and Vaughan just make huge meters. And JMK just gets to run whenever there is a chance.
We have a much better team then what we started the year with. Just because of experience. Adding a great hooker in Mahoney and the best edge forward in Kiks. We are a chance to do very well next year. We just need the team to play to their potential.

The game against the Cows will be interesting they were good today, the opposition needs to post points and deny them field position. Tough to beat if they get a lot of ball at our end.

If this keeps up we should re-name this site Tombstone. I realise under Baz there was bugger all to cheer about, but we are winning some games and all I still hear is crickets. Ahh well the enthusiasm may return..... one day.....

Ahh well the enthusiasm may return..... one day..... I’m incredibly frustrated and fatigued by this season… and the previous couple… things look very promising for next year… many positives to be acknowledged in many individuals progression… be nice to have a coach named… but more difficult to enjoy when we are playing well with ‘nothing to play for’… again… The seemingly self imposed ban on ‘controversial’ discussions which were always part of the fabric has also contributed to less action imho… Throw in a lack of emojis, Putins post hike, the Roosterpox pandemic and it’s a recipe for disaster!!!…

The scoreline flattered the Knights, both of their trys were dubious, the last one would have been forward in NFL.
We are still not clinical, making some errors, or getting tired at the end of games.
Put it all together for 80 we are a shot at beating anyone.
I would love to beat the Cows.
Since Klemmer and Pearce went to the Knights I take extra pleasure from beating them. The scoreline might not show it, but we outclassed them.
A good base to build on for 2023.
