+xThe CL is the next tick box for EPL criteria which Ange already fulfils anyway. The SPL point turnaround and a J League crown are enough. Parker fired by Bournemouth just now. I don't think Gerrard or Lampard have much time left. Rodgers will probably leave Leicester a she can't get funds. I think we may see Rodgers at Everton or Villa very soon. Ange can and should stay at Celtic a good while before any rash decisions to a promoted basket case like Watford. there are plenty coachs right around EU with CL cred and local comp wins never considered by EPL Clubs don't forget that and or got spat out quick time...... Parker has taken 2 Clubs to promotion last 2 tenures in a farfar more competitive comp than SPL might I add but Bournemouth spent zak being promoted, lambs to the slaughter and he's the fall guy. Be careful what you wish for. Gerrad/Lampard have been elevated to main game to quick lacking experience and Clubs with hurdles always left right centre (well they all have that some more than others). They will fall sooner or later for at that level as we know its cut throat full stop. Gerrard had the capability for all to see in the SPL, why in one of the big 2, whole diff ball game thrown in the EPL and Villa have spent some coin on players look where its got them/him. IMO AP's smart move is to a strong Championship Club or Bundas/SerieA, why risk all his good work going to a mid or lower table EPL Club. He could be the smartest coach in the game But that top 6 ain't no SPL/JLeagues + cups etcetc and its about Club cheque books backing up the gaffa/team.

I agree with that, I reackon he will look to Italy or Germany or even Spain for his next "jump" rather than a mid tier EPL. I reckon he wont consider managing in England unless its one of the top 6 and even then, probably would only go for the Liverpool gig ... guy has a lot of self belief, not saying its realistic.

Gerrard/Lampard shows the old boys club still very much in vogue.

'Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou ahead of facing Real Madrid; “There's no point playing football a certain way and then, when you get the opportunity to measure it against the best, you shy away from it. You could go out tomorrow, limit the damage and might get a win, but have you tested yourself?”' https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62771360That's the Ange we know and love. Only thing is the score could be a bit of a blowout if Celtic really do try and take the game to Madrid and it does wrong, but at least it'll be exciting. I hope the Celtic fans appreciate his philosophy if it goes wrong

Vinicius will be the one to manage on the counter. If he can nullify him a little he can make it a good game. This RM team is pretty old hopefully Ange can tire them out.

Going at 120% in the first half can get results if they take their chances, because its not sustainable for 90 minutes. Not when the opposition has 2/3rds of the ball.
I think he's become more pragmatic than he was but at the highest level, but there is still an element of romantic naivete in his approach. Still if Celtic had scored than he'd be vindicated.
