+xSo the RHESSI satellite will re-enter earth’s atmosphere this week with some of it perhaps striking the planet… According to SCIENCE!!! “The risk of harm coming to anyone on Earth is low — approximately 1 in 2,467,” 1 in 2500!!!!… low risk!!!… quick, put on your mask… stay in your homes… no standing at the pub… Dob in your neighbour if they have a friend over etc etc… According to those odds, it will crash into Belmore oval, and injure 7 of our players.

+x+x+xMy thoughts Skelton will replace Averillo or Burns if they are injured, pretty odvious. KO might replace Grub on the bench and come on as a 6 playing on the right side. Flanno will stay on and move to a lock / dummy-role, Flanno's job will be to defend, link the play and support. Eventually KO will start with Flanno on the bench, probably replaced by Anubus when he is back.. Slightly surpising that we would do this against the Sharks, but our slim chances of a win probably require CC to roll the dice. You can’t have a lock that is absolutely zero threat of running… I can’t see Loubplaying anything other than hooker… What part of Burton to centre did you guys not get? What part of "Burton is a ⅝" didn't you get?

What percentage of our trys this season have come from the various spine players? My guess- Burton - 48% Marhoney- 45% Flanagan - 2% Perham - 1% Someone else - 4% Kicks causing errors or repeat sets - Burton 70%, Maroney 20%, Flanno 7%, someone else 3% Lame kicks or miskicks - Flanno 80%, Burton 15%, Marhoney 5% Poor passes and dumb options - Flanno 75%, Burton 10%, Marhoney 5% Linebreaks - Burton 60%, Foxy 15%, Kiraz 10%, Averillo 10%, Preston 5% Burton is the best player in the team while playing 5/8. My stats guesses indicate what the problems are.

I am puzzled that CC is apparently happy with the way grub is playing.
I love the guy as much as every dogs fan does, but he is more of a liability than an asset so far.
If grub and Flanno keep getting picked, I am starting to wonder if I know nothing about footy, or if CC has some master plan and doesn't care about short term results.

Our side is going to be a lot better next season with Critter at fullback, he can beat a one-on-one tackle, he is fast, is a threat in the air, and knows how to find the tryline.
We should also have fewer injures, and our young players will have more NRL experience.
The question remains, what can be done this year?
Regardless of results, installing a good halfback is a priority, and maybe a young guy like Rajab deserves a crack at fullback.
If my dreams come true and Flanno is dropped, I expect Rajab to play fullback in reserve grade, it is one of the positions he can play.
I don't see any point in threading water waiting for 2024, that will sap the confidence of the players. Let's have a crack in 2023, and build a base for 2024.

I'm really happy with CC best coach since Gus, watch his presser on the Sharks game.
I think switching Burton to 7 might work, it is more than a change of number.
Also Preston extended for 3 years.
Hang in there Dogs fans, good times are coming.
My head says Sharks by plenty, the vibe says we might sneak a win here, provided no one is injured and the ref doesn't totally screw us. (I know .... the vibe says the ref might get the teams mixed up 😁)

More ridiculous binnings for hip drops…
I’ve noticed a few times now the new mandatory binning offence is not mandatory if the offending team already has someone in the bin for one… eg Hass tonight would’ve been marched but wasn’t as they already had Mamm in the bin… even though it was not even a penalty on that occasion it would’ve been a binning if they had 13…

Freddy had the best suggestion, a good low legs tackle should be rewarded by allowing another defender a reasonable amount of time to flop on. That is how the game used to be played. Small guys can then slide down the legs of a bigger guy and aviod a hip drop, at some risk of dropping off and missimg the tackle. Otherwise there Mamm can stop or bring down Dorey, Mamm isn't the smallest or weakest guy in the comp, Dorey isn't the biggest. I do think that a player with both legs in the air in parallel suddenly is suspect and very different to momentum dragging a guy off his feet. I.e. the small number of deliberate hip drops aren't hard to spot. IMO Mam and Hass were not deliberate but Hass was more reckless.

It's good to see the flat track bullies get served. The only down side it was Groncos that served it.

How much trouble is Aus yawnion in with its talent pool, local comps, pathways, player profiles, game profile, coaching leadership etc where their best idea is to make a hit list of every league player in Aus to play in their important tournaments… and then play it out in the media to get some sort of attention… Does that super 18 or 15 thing even exist anymore???.,,
I can say, seeing Haas or Cleary go to Yawnion will not lead to me watching 1 minute…

And the smarter ones, pursue a career in medicine, law, accounting or get a job in daddy's business. A team from a league playing school would smash a team from a Yawnion playing school most of the time, even if 50% of kids in the Yawnion team are on sport scholarships. As a social game and a bit of fun Yawnion is ok, but it will never be great TV viewing.

CC obviously recognises that we are not getting value from Burton as our highly paid 5/8. The stats they just had on the screen for 7 games: Tries. 3 TA. 2 LB. 2 LBA. 3 MPG. 58 Are hardly the numbers of an elite player. Hopefully getting his hands on the ball more will help.
