Considering the realities of the window closing after the season starts, he would've been focused on R1 and therefore his plans would've been either playing without him or playing in a way that accommodates both possibilities (go, stay). Surely would've been the second because even if he stays, I know from life experience that you can't reliably get some Harry Kane on a Saturday, sometimes just doesn't happen.

Well time has finally arrived - Kane out of the picture and now for the first game in a few hours, good luck to him but it’s a lead up for my LFC Chelsea game following. Bring on the EPL it’s gonna be a interesting season let alone pre Christmas what’s ahead for AP in the biggest and best league.

Royal over Porro makes sense on pre-season form. The day Ange became manager I started FIFA career mode and sold Kane. This 11 looks very familiar to my eyes. Skipp was impressive against Barcelona and Ange loves a local workhorse.
