+x+x+x+x+xI said afew weeks ago when all the pundits wrote the Roosters off, that they were morals to make the top 8 Reminds me of our 1998 run. We were 200-1 when I made the call with 5 rounds of regular season to go, that we would make finals and we went within 40mins of winning the thing. Same as Roosters. Might not make the GF, but you could see they weren't far from stringing it together I hate the Chicken fuckers. But they were always going to go close. So much talent. They have a top four team. I was cheering for the Chooks tonight.... might have something to do with who they are playing. In the Semis.... Warriors ...l followed in the distance by the bunker.... not that I like the bunker. Anyone who cheers for the Rorters deserves to be committed...doesn't matter who they are playing. Tedescu remains the greatest hog of the ball in the game...and perhaps ever seen in the game.... It was a momentary lapse, I put it down to pathological hated of the Lemons. More likely a monetary lapse if it involved the rorters…

I understand the hard towards the Eels. But mine is much greater for the Chickens. And the simple reason is this.
They are cheats. They are also winning because of their cheating. We need more premierships and they are our greatest challenge in Sydney other than South’s.

Newcastle are finally seeing the benefits of being very, very patient. It is hard. But we need to be patient. Like most of us said. We need to give Ciro a few years to get his team playing his footy

This Newcastle vs South’s game certainly puts that last loss into perspective. We have had a terrible draw. Rarely playing a team out of form or that wasn’t a lot better than us. With any luck next year we start off with Tigers, Dragons, Dolphins and Titans to start the year.

I guess kneeling a Dogs player in the head after scoring a try must cancel out some dubious 6 against against us?

I imagine all Chooks fans should are as lucky as I was, apparently the donor gives away 24 cars a year.

Now I want all the members who think the refs are "fair and above board" to come in here and tell me to stop blaming the refs. There was an obvious agenda today to get the faiders up.

I agree there has been an agenda against the club for a long time . I guess the refs have some grudge against the club . I will add can’t wait to see the end of TPJ and Thompson . TPJ heart just isn’t in it and Thompson just not cutting it . .

Yeah we copped some BS calls this game. One play we got a great offload and the ref called it back, later a Canberra player was held for ages and they made ground off an extremely late offload. Not to mention lots of 6 against that were dubious. Better performance but ultimately some dumb mistakes still cost us.

The Faiders 1st try was off some extremely poor defence on our part.... it was very innerving to watch.

As for the positives Sexton and Edwards played well, King, Kicks, Wardell,Kiraz and Averillo fairly good. Tommo OK for someone who has barely played a game in the last 2 years I agree TPJ is struggling to find motivation.

I honestly thought we got a very good run from the refs today. However I had a few beers before and during. Our side played like shit.
Maybe if we blame the players for dropping the ball and missing the tackle instead of blaming the ref we might start encouraging the right player to play for us. Excuses are for losers.

Once again we had only one firward making over a hundred meters King and Knight almost on 98. Once again that is our problem. Our forwards are soft in defence and make no meters.

We only had 43% possession and only trailed 7-6 in linebreaks. For the difference in possession of 14%, 7% was the ref and 7% was dumb errors from us. The ref had nothing to do with 3-4 soft try's we conceded. In truth the Raiders were not much better than we were,i t was a even game. One we could have won because the opposition were crap. The ref wasn't the entire reason why we lost, but he certainly didn't help,

His kicking game still needs a bit of work. The fundamentals are there just needs some polished. We notice every player error and any dud refs call, because soon or later our defence cracks and we concede a try. For the disconnect between Burton and Burns in defence, Burns was more to blame. Running and passing Burto was good.

It's his defence I was being most critical of. He did ok in attack. We scored 24 points which is generally ok, although nowdays you probably need 5 tries to win games. But his defence is attricious and has been all year. He's a liability to the point where his teammates have no faith in him and get pulled in and creating gaps or overlaps. Really needs work on his defence in the line.

Although I probably take that kind of return from him these days.....

Hey Marki, I see that the media and fans are up in arms over the umpiring howler over the weekend. Better let your mates know that it doesn't matter how much scrutiny they have in the game, it means jack schitt if you have a fvckw!t like V'landys in charge.

Yeah, in a high scoring game like AFL, an error like that usually gets covered by many other scoring plays -except when it's late in the game. In NRL it's more critical, and in soccer or cricket it's even worse. As I've always said....there will always be a chance that the officials can make an error....you just have to aim to be better to be able to cover for it. If you are playing to just scrape home in most games, you put yourself in a position to be ripped off

Sometimes, just sometimes the opposition is good enough to keep the game tight and the scores close, and when this occurs and it gets to the point where the next team that scores wins, that's when the officials come into play.

I don't know what to say mate except I live in hope they that do their best and if they make an error, it's an innocent one and nothing sinister. I do however believe that it is human nature to subliminally side with the team that plays the game better. It's not intentional cheating, but rather an autonomous reaction in the heat of the moment. We certainly get the rough end of the stick..
