+x+xPeople complaining that Tottenham should have parked the bus. Does it matter? Very difficult to get any points after playing 30 odd minutes with 9 men. I would love to know the last time any professional team got a point after going down to 9 men with 30 odd minutes to go. Name me one! Rangers beat St Mirren in the Scottish league cup final in 2010 with nine men. Fair enough. There is a bit of a difference in quality between those two sides and the timing of the reds were different.

I would love to know the last time any professional team got a point after going down to 9 men with 30 odd minutes to go. Name me one! no it doesn't matter that how it goes for some and not mind you. My wonderful Kloppy has proven long/way before Angey baby playing attacking fully charged football, mentality monsters yaddayadda and only few games back vs's the Toons with your backs to the wall Away, Toons 1up 25min then to have VVD Red carded the 28min. We were bombarded and Klopps adjustments did as you hope for - park the bus winning goals 81st/90+3mins 1-2. So there's a very recent backs to the wall win. Then we had that wonderful Spudz win vs us, I still giggle about it and Jonesy's Red 26min is a very similar style tackle in that game (Romero) followed by Jota's silly 2nd yellow but Klopps sub choices many times over and accepting to back off and rely on a counter has been proven many times, An 90+6min OG justified the wonderous Spudz honeymoon went on :) how close that was to a wonderous LFC draw. As for Romero, I enjoy/admire a robust solid CB always have, he's always on the edge for a red as his style conveys. Since the start of 2021-22, Cristian Romero has been sent off four times in all competitions for Tottenham, more than any other Premier League player that surprised me. https://www.90min.com/posts/craziest-stats-tottenham-4-1-defeat-chelseaNow we will see whats to become looking ahead - next 5 could really change their ladder standing into chrissy but more so crucially will he change his tactics and pull back a little for as we've seen over the years, NOpe but now he's in the big ball game. Wolves A - they are no mugs, impress me some games so much, spudz will bounce back/react for this I expect even with sub standard depth. Villa H - playing at home will give a promising feel But Emery is no mug neither is his squad - I see villa win. City A - well Pep could play his 2nd 11 to me. Hammers H - <<< they are hot and cold this season but IF they turn up its a 50/50 ball game. Toons H - most likely out of CL, 3 draws only has them 2 wins behind Spudz, their GF/GA is better than Spudz, I expect Toons win.

+xBefore Chelsea went 3-1 ahead, Spurs had two massive chances created through playing proactively. I doubt the two free-kicks which lead to the chances would have been created with a back-5 and a target man up top. Football is a game of fine margins and Ange nearly pulled it off. 2 goals in junk time flattered Chelsea who were awful. And it turns out the disallowed goal from Dier came off a Chelsea head, which means he was onside. Another VAR fuck up.

Quite a few changes and new faces on the bench given all the injuries and suspensions. Wolves away is tough so avoiding defeat is the utmost priority but they'll play to win as always.

Crucial early goal for Spurs. Nicely played. Blessing in disguise is the reserves have quite a bit of energy to burn and seemingly buy into the mentality and can integrate themselves better. Here's hoping.
I really want to see some good winter business to with a longer term view.

He will be judged between now and the new year. Not looking good TBF. Injuries and lack of options will hinder him.

Yep - some of us mentioned this start of the season. they need to buy at least 4 decent start up players coming window or they’ll fade below the top4 let alone fight top6 depending future injuries. Like I mentioned earlier post coming up Villa City Hammers Toons Any points will be Gold imo.

Hate to add to the pile on but that was really poor... Wolves deserved the two late goals but apart from 10 mins at the start and maybe 5-10 mins late in second half (before they switched off and copped two junk time goals) Spuds were abysmal... Madison leaves a HUGE un-fillable hole in this squad... Ange better hope for some signings in Jan as the depth just isnt there... Tough few months ahead, how they recover from this is anyone's guess... Arsenal are solid, Man City , despite a bumpy couple of weeks are .... welll Man City and the mighty Redmen are cooking up a merry storm...... Top 4 finish is still achievable I think but ...... its a loooooong season.
Good luck Angie baby, go get em.

hehe mighty Redmen I like ! Depth shows with the starting line up and bench vs Brentford. We're going ok and we like most also will be doing some Jan business. Its all in Angey's lap - the Jan window AND compared to the Clubs circling Spudz NO Europe. I'm sure he's relishing this, what gaffa wouldn't being in the EPL but he knows what he's in for, nothing like the SPL 2 horse race and JPL. This is dog eat dog top to bottom, brilliant comp and this one is close as we've seen City drop 2 and drawn 1. Early days for all still, 12 games down of 40 haha

+xWolves deserved that. Spurs lack of depth truly exposed. Totally dominated. 100%. Midfield was destroyed. Very little Ange-Ball. But i also think Ange was too conservative with his team selection. Gotta throw Phillips or Dorrington into the deep end in 2 weeks time. International break has come at a good time.

There is a case to move Kulusevski into Maddison's position and have Johnson play wide right. Cannot have a midfield of Bissouma, Sarr & Hojberg and expect to create anything. Bissouma will be out next game so I imagine Hojberg will drop into the 6, with Sarr as the 8, but would like to see Kulu as the 10.

Sarr should have been sacrificed in favour of Kulusevski.

I think a test for both Clubs TBH for other opponents have lifted as well. Just the 13th game game of 40 don't think a season defining one but a contest for bragging rights menatally looking ahead. Dropping points against lesser lights ends up being more defining imo (dropping 2 to Luton for us) between both clubs have proven records (well citeh more so but LFC are the only one who have won and taken it to city far more than any other club last 5seasons ). Saturday week will be the others looking, well thats the bar we have to meet against them more than anything else. I really can't see Spudz being contenders unless wheels fall off citeh and LFC, gooners I don't think they'll last as well unless results fall their way very late in the season and they are there to take advantage but I could be wrong long way to go. Haaland is nearly unplayable when they are on song, DeBryne is yet to comeback, its a 3way fight at this stage. Back to the tread topic, you reckon still a Top 4 finish ? alot has to fall their way that I'm struggling to see at this stage - I think it would be prudent to wait and see after Jan window and the wins have to keep a coming but yer long way to go.

+xHojberg is all huff and puff, his yellow tally is more than his assists/goals combined the last 4seasons lol....... No Hojberg fault. Ange played 3 defensive minded midfielder, nobody to link the midfield and attack. Additionally Emerson Royal is utter tosh, and the centre backs are hopeless on the ball. In the end their lack of match fitness was exposed. Ange ball starts from the back and Spurs just couldnt get any cohesion between the defense and midfield. We all know his projects take a season or two so this season was always going to be a bonus anyway. To be fair they were lucky to be on top, they would arguably be mid table were it not for Vicario's heroics.

che ? roosty, in 11 games whilst they were on "song" so to speak Hojberg is quoted to be a CMF - be it out wide at times, 0 assists to date. 35 games last season 4 goals 5 assists, season before worse, we he should be linking to the attack but as said he's all huff and puff no matter ange ball gone wrong. I agree on other point, its first season and people need to get their feet on the ground, yer I reckon they'll be lucky finishing top6.

His speed sees him get in behind the fullback but with the ball at his feet I reackon he would have trouble picking out Son's run. Bissouma is not the answer clearly, what ever happened to Solomon? Regardless, how interesting is it to see an EPL team play with a true #10 for a change though, I hope Madisson is back soon.

Kulu has played in the midfield for Sweden. he has a great work rate, knows how to make a run and can provide a proactive pass you need from a CAM. I'm not convinced he's an out and out winger due to his lack of leg speed.

This season were at GF 27 GA 10 - yep Ali keeps a crucial game or moment together but our chances created are plenty just need to put more away though 27 on 12 games who's complaining from our perspective :). Same applies to Citeh, take Haaland away from last and this season same applies And Ederson is another top shelf GK. https://amp.sportsmole.co.uk/football/liverpool/2023-24/top-scorers.htmlDiaz only 7games Gakpo 6, Nunez yet to find consistancy - https://amp.sportsmole.co.uk/football/man-city/2023-24/top-scorers.htmlLFC and citeh have good/great midfielders and subs to cover might I add compared to spudz the divide is massive and Maddison is the only one that can keep them fluid and going forward way more than any other in their ranks, so they need him to play the next 27 games that obviously is already effecting them. haha robbos, have fun with your LFC mates whatever happens ahead you never know who laughs last till the end.
