Another win that had to be a win. Arsenal slip ups are interesting. Goal has to be top 4 now the December mist is clearing.

yer was a hoot, hardly see him react like that......
Nothing like a bit of sideline banter

Will be interesting how the front operates with Son MIA - he's a real inspiration in attack for them and finisher.
13 goals to date.

Jan window starts

Tottenham move on the cards for Dragusin

Another centre-back is a top priority for Spurs in January and they may have already found their man.

Genoa defender Radu Dragusin has been in the club's sights and is open to joining Tottenham, reports Standard Sport.

The 21-year-old came through Juventus' youth system before joining Genoa permanently this season after a loan stint in 2022/23.

The Romania international has impressed in Serie A this campaign and has even chipped in with two goals.

Spurs are light on centre-backs at the moment with both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven sidelined through injury.

Aston Villa legend Gabby Agbonlahor insists Tottenham striker Richarlison would be “playing in League Two if he wasn’t Brazilian”.

Richarlison scored 53 goals in 152 appearances for Everton before making the move to Spurs in the 2022 summer transfer window for a fee which could reach as much as £60m.

However, his time at Tottenham did not got off to the best start with the Brazil international scoring just ten goals in his first 54 matches in all competitions.

His Premier League record under Ange Postecoglou is much better this season than last with Richarlison contributing six goals and three assists in the first half of the campaign.

Richarlison is now showing signs that he could be the striker Tottenham hoped he’d become but Agbonlahor was far from impressed by what he saw in Spurs’ 1-0 win over Burnley.

“I was watching the game and thinking ‘I’m wasting my evening, I could be watching a new series on Netflix’ 60 minutes in, I turned it off, it was dreadful,” Agbonlahor said on

“Richarlison, he can’t control the ball, he’s not strong enough to hold the ball up, he’s not good with link-up play, he can’t run in behind because he’s not quick enough, he can’t finish.

“Honestly, he’d be playing in League Two if he wasn’t Brazilian, I don’t rate him one bit.”

Agbonlahor wasn’t the only pundit to criticise Richarlison in the aftermath of their win against Burnley with former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol insisting Tottenham – who are on the verge of signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig – need a new striker.

Nicol said on ESPN: “They’re missing a goal scorer. I mean all the questions when Son left was who’s going to put the ball in the back of the net? Who’s going to pick up on what he’s not going to be able to deliver? The truth is we don’t have an answer to that because Richarlison’s not a goalscorer.

“If ever there was a game that showed that, it was tonight. The two (chances) we showed in the first half on his left-hand side – pretty weak, both attempts. And then, he’s whiffing on a header.

Good points by both ex player pundits.

still nothing official And I truly wonder WTF with all of BM's $$$'s go for Dier.

29yrs, yer sure he still has some years but they could easily source a good promising mid 20's DM/CB - silly business imo.

Spurs to face City at home in the FA Cup. Rough cup draws this season with EPL opponents. It'd be nice to see Ange face a League One club away.

They had Burnley in the 3rd round, a tuff one but one that you should be getting by as they did.
City good, they need the challenges not lower league clubs.
I think its great for Ange testing himself against the big fellas more than lesser lights and great for his rep, he should have Maddison back then and maybe bought one or 2 by 28th Jan 4th round.

Werner reminds me of an expensive Kosta Babarouses. Short, agile, tricky feet, fast, but too many "almost" and "how did  he miss that" moments

Solanke may have been a good option and cheaper than Werner I expect - on 12 goals to date.
I'd have hope Werner links with Son better in the future but at the same time Spurs are not lacking in GF, 42.

How do you get cheaper than a loan, unless you're talking about wages? Solanke's contract expires in 2027.

Tottenham need a CB desperately, they've just loaned out another one to Plymouth lol. Dragusin looks like he's going to Bayern;
- VDV returning from serious hammy
- Romero injured
- Davies injured
- Dier doesn't work

yes wages And the option to buy at the end if thats agreed.
Just was pointing out Solanke typically would be less compared to Werner and likely the wage if loaned but thats not going to happen.
Nonetheless I think it has promise being a good agreement for the rest of the season.

Yep they need backs.

We all know what Spurs are like with Levy. He nearly fucked it up again. Bayern would never have stepped in if they'd offered the asking price straight away.

However, I would suggest its a pretty big deal Dragusin decided stick with Spurs over guaranteed trophies at Bayern Munich. Word is that Ange had a massive influence over his decision making. Ange called him overnight apparently.

Got an assist in his first match back and looked hungry on the ball...  Madisson, Son and Kulu are big outs in anyone's language but a draw at Old Trafford isnt anything to sneeze at.... top 4 finish for Spurs seems very likely this year.

Quite a few players signing their first pro contracts.

Chelsea brought on a lot on kids last night. I don't think Spurs can afford to do that but there could be a golden goose amongst it all.

pundits and even us get bitten :)
He sure has blown his woeful stats of last season, to date 18 games for 7goals.
Will be watching of his return the next 3 games.
Lower table Brentford coming up.
Next even lower table his ol Club Toffees.
Followed by the one you really want your striker to convert a strong organised Seagulls.
