Spurs set piece defending is comical and surely the worst in the league. Isnt Jedinak their set piece coach? Surely needs to go.

The top level can be brutal to even the best of coaches, but at the moment Ange is really skating on thin ice.
Spurs are desperate for silverware. They need to WIN NOW.
They don't have the ability to stomach a painful rebuild because they've never experienced success.
Ange can't deliver that WIN NOW Manager mentality. He's a slow burn.
Won't end well. He's gone next season, in my opinion.

Ange don't think so lol... https://theathletic.com/5463375/2024/05/01/ange-postecoglou-tottenham-set-pieces/and who knows which of his 3 assistant coachs roles are incl Jedi. IF they make europa like I've said long before good job he crawled over the line, I hope they do but these remaining games and other results will run the course. 4 to play my calls LFC A - loss me hope and expect. Burnley H - hard call I'll back them being H. City H - really can't see an upset but damn I'd luv it lol Sheffield A - no easy game being the last but surely they win it or a point. So lets say 6points from the 4, will it be enough.

"EVEN IF villa won both legs" ... was just highlighting that they didnt win the first leg and sadly, probably wont win the second - as disgusted as the whole world should be at the prospect of Nottingham Forrest's fat disgusting heroin dealing arsehole owner's pet club getting into a Euro final :)

Maddison with 4 goals and 7 assists from 24 games is pretty average for a 'Statement Signing".

All the pundits at the start of the season were scratching their heads saying how did Spurs get him for only $40mil. But the football departments around the league knew what was up :)

Spurs fan are insane... they were tipped to finish mid table with no Kane... they never even signed a replacement... yet they whinging about 5th..
If the chance comes along to jump ship to united he should... that club would get behind Ange and he can do proper rebuild.

Ofcourse they are desperate for success but they sure arn't alone there. Worse is united who did have that once and 10yrs on they keep harping and expecting win win win. IF they finish P5 its massive imo - yes jas88 those whingers no Kane and all he's got them better than last season amzingly they should be happy not 10th etc the tossers. No way he jump to united, that going to be a long slow burn to recovery as well and the scrutiny and spot light far worse. Better off @ spudz and the summer he gets recruits that suit him depending how much budget Levy allows..

Ange starting to come under some pressure. Normally plays the media and fans very well but has misread the room recently with his defiance of acknowledging set pieces as an issue.
Haven't seen him come under this amount of pressure since the 2018 World Cup qualifying.
Tottenhams players definitely look short of confidence atm

Liverpool handing it to them today. Summer needs the right transfers. Performances from the lower base Spurs were at have far exceeded expectations while results are pretty much about right.

Ange turns spurs to become a League 1 team now. That was painful to watch. This is worse than Conte last season. Eric Dier said about Ange just about right "interestingly [Postecoglou] really doesn't do any tactical work, what he does is, every single training drill from Monday to Friday is drawn up to represent the way that he wants to play"

Firstly, Dier isn't qualified to comment on anything given his pathetic lazy demeanour over the years. Practicing on the pitch has gone a long way. Spurs have now scored 2 and nearly a 3rd.

Diers made his point cuz he was there training with them so he knew exactly what's going on with each sessions. Ange didn't and never watch the opponents tape he just focuses on the way he wants to play. That's it. If you watch Tottenham in the last 4-5 games, especially the 1st half Angeball is worse than League 1 teams. Spurs usually improve in the 2nd half but 1st half is always poor. I bet the next game he will put Son as a central striker again as he always got the players and tactic wrong in the 1st half.

Recruiting better players for the system will sort it. yer agree, TBH the 1st half looked dire due to the score but I was anxious watching for they outplayed us a lot and won alot of 2nd balls to stifle our engine room. They had more possesion might I add and @ Anfield. We hit them on counters and the diff was finishing (thankfully we started putting them away compared to the last 4games) whereas Spurs broke down the final pass into our box many times. Some good cross's right across our box but no one there a couple would have been tap ins. Nontheless glad my LFC done the business (some rippa play and goals) BUT again lost the plot mid 2nd half and let them back in. They had their chances making me squirm alot even though we had chances to finish them off really well. Ange error was not starting up Maddison/Richarlson. They play good football just need to get their defensive lines sorted ie Emerson terrible defending and Ange needs few more better players. They have to get points from Burnley/Sheffield.

Recruiting better players for the system will sort it. I think there's two things at play here. 1) The squad is really unballanced. This was highlighted really well by the guys over at Tifo, and it has been clear to see when more teams have worked out how to counter Ange's tactics. The lack of flexibility means Ange has very limited solutions to address tactical problems on the pitch. 2) The question of whether Ange can change the culture at Spurs. It is a culture of player power, mediocrity, and profit before silverware.

first 2 minutes golden... then just fell apart... they have 0 confidence... at some point he has to tell emerson to just stay back.. he cant be given license to go forward he cant get back and cover..The amount of times Romero gets the ball completely stops and waits a good 30sec-minute to pass it must drive Ange crazy. The passing is just way too slow... reminds me of the socceroos so much.

seriously fellas you guys are harsh on him. Sure we can all sit here and say he should do this should do that - no Plan B yaddayaddayadda. Every gaffa has their ways and get found out - even the best do. He's in the fire of the most competitive league of them all first time ever, lacking players, suffered key injuries, a nothing bench to a degree, so many other variables look at the clubs below them. ETH/United has had a season under his belt, resources a plenty - they have failed everywhere but somehow jagged being in the cup final by the skin of their teeth. Hammers look at them and Moyes has had a few seasons and seasoned campaigner. Chelsea say no more, a resurgence of late but all way too late. Toon, Howe has had 2 seasons and one with alot of loot for this season. IF he manages P5/6/7 - without Kane I'll give him credit keeping the ship from sinking under the water. Kane kept them from finishing lower than 8th last season they should have been 9th. They are on 60points as they finshed last season with 3 to play, he grabs the 2wins upon city loss he's done ok apprenticeship for a newby.

Can feel a Roar like shake up brewing.... although not sure it's possible given the upper echelons of EPL wages.

I find it really mind boggling how people have responded to Ange over the last few months.
Where was Tottenham before Ange? They lost their best player over the summer and are currently 5th. Most people were predicting them to finish well below their current position.
As Aussies who have followed his career, we should know better than to throw him under the bus. He has gone through this process over and over again (at least since I started following his Brisbane Roar team). Tottenham will come good if he is backed. I hope the club have let the doubt creep in. Just trust him.

+xCan feel a Roar like shake up brewing.... although not sure it's possible given the upper echelons of EPL wages. obviously will be a shake up just depends how much loaded Lewis US6.4B family/ENIC and Levy (29% share holder) open up, normally never enough to change the course of Spurs so hopefully AP finds some diamonds cheap in the rough. yep its a ruthless world tFl - even I have been harsh at times and depending who but as I've quoted he's jumped in the deep end and heaps of baggage etcetc..... I hope he's backed for he's worth it imo just no wins over LFC next season :)
