+x+xBelgium need a win badly but I wouldn't be surprised if Romania beat them the way last Rd went Yep, a loss will be very bad for them. If they lose against Romania they MUST defeat Ukraine on Matchday 3, and need Romania to defeat Slovakia. Then, in that instance, Romania will top the group, and Slovakia, Ukraine and Belgium will all be ranked according to GD (then Goals Scored) - but not including their matches against Romania. Interestingly, I've only just noticed the final tiebreaker in the tournament is not a drawing of lots this time around - it's the overall ranking during qualifying. Which means essentially, the higher pot team in each group will automatically qualify (in the event that all other criteria is deadlocked), unless it's in Group A and involves Germany and that instance would be the only drawing of lots (which we've already bypassed) Just having a look at third place standings - at the moment it's Group A (Scotland) and F (Czechia) that miss out on the round of 16 - but a result in the Georgia v Czechia game would bump group F (whoever wins out of Georgia v Czechia most likely) in, and Group B (Albania) out. If that game does end in a draw though - Group F will still be out, with Albania ahead of Czechia (unless it's a 3-3 or higher draw - then Czechia will jump ahead) Going by the first 25 minutes, If CZE-GEO ends in a draw, that would be one of the all-time draws.

Ah God. Just reminds me of the Honduras penalty. So unassuming but the arm out and stops where the ball is going. I don't agree with that but it can see why it was given.
Biggest issue is, if ref doesn't see it the broadcast wankers will and there's their whinging angle fuelling negative discourse throughout the game.
If they just built a culture of accepting it was rocket fast, ball to hand, and unintentional while paying lip service to the scene, we'd be better off.

Similar instance to the disallowed goal - but as the broadcast wankers have made a meal of slagging us off with every missed decision. I can understand both instances being missed by the on-field referee, they are very slight incidents. However, letter of the law, if the referee sees them (and due to the broadcast wankers, that now includes VAR), both incidents HAVE to go the way they did. EDIT: At the end of the day, they weren't 'clear and obvious' to me. They weren't picked up by the broadcast teams until the check was notified. And I don't think many people would have been up in arms over the incidents. Would also mean 1-0 Czechia lead at half time (assuming the game continues as is..)

Portugal looking very solid, not spectacular but they getting the job done, I think a 4-3-3 works better for them it gives them a better balance.
I knew Belgium would be better they were not clinical against Slovakia and still are today against Romania but they got the quality in the attack to hurt any time.
Interestingly all 4 teams are on 3 points! Anything could happen in the last group game.
