Just playing the FM08 demo on 360 as hull. Fraizer Campbell is playing like a machine! 4 goals in pre season as well as 7 in 10 league games and a few in the cup. What a gun. Im only coming 18th with Hull though :(

Yes. I played it back to back with the FIFA09 demo.
PES for me was more enjoyable.

Really? I disagree but I would like to know what aspects of the game you found more enjoyable? I ust found that you didnt have enough control over the players, first touch was too loose, and that the ball physics werent realistic. There were some cool things about it I found it way too arcadey as well, like something you would play in Galaxy World

I dunno...
- players actually stick out their foot to intercept passes - I could easily change my formation and edit each position (PES shits over FIFA for this, and has done for years) - Heaps more scoring opportunities for some reason - Through ball works!!!!! - the players didn't seem so "clunky" and "heavy" as they did for me in FIFA - I didn't have to change the controller settings to "new analog" - it was default! :P - there were no framerate issues in replays - the grass looked heaps better :P
If you have never played PES before and only FIFA I can understand how it was different. I was like that once also. But then you get used to the mechanics of the game and see how you can play a great passing game and the ball kinda goes where you want it to go. The passes are more intelligent and the off the ball movement of the players is heaps better. In FIFA, my striker gets the ball on halfway for some reason and everyone just stands there and doesn't make runs. In PES my Attacking Midfielder or CM gets the ball on halfway and everyone makes runs and gets into space. I don't have to run the length of the field with my sole striker in PES like I always seem to have to do with FIFA.
But meh. Play whichever one you enjoy more. I won't be buying FIFA and will probably pick up PES if its a decent price.

This is what I love about being a student - don't have to worry about the FIFA v PES debate... because I cannot afford it! :D

I played some FML last night. Seems alright. Main problem I see is not really having much of a investment in the team or being able to prepare much for matches against teams like you do in FM.

That and the whole paid subscription thing makes it too much like WoW and kinda sucks the wind out of its sails

Haha Theo pulls out a 89th minute equalizer against Barca in the only game I've picked him in, to keep us in touch (only 1 point behind them, with about a 3rd of the season left).

knocked out of the CL 3-2 on agg to Inter (after a 0-1 loss at home in the first leg), Villa scores twice to lead 2-1 (with 2 away goals), then Chivu scores in the 75th and 82, both headed off a corner. The 2nd one from the backpost. How a looped corner gets to the backpost without a touch to get it over or out or the keeper coming I'll never know.
Need I mentioned that both Villa and Mata missed gold plated chances to win the game before the 2 goals. Mata stealing it from their DC, getting 1 on 1, having the ball saved, and instead of rounding the keeper after controlling the rebound, he simply shoots again right at the keeper. "It was an easy chance and he knows it".
A minute later Villa gets clear with the keeper and only a single cover defender. His shot deflects off the defender, is saved, and basically I'm going to describe his effort on the rebound as a "Forlan". They should have added "Put your head in the shame son" on the report after it.

Seasons basically over now. Out of everything, have had 2 draws and 2 losses around the Inter loss, including losing to Real Madird, drawing to Almeria and losing 0-1 against Deportivo despite having 24 shots to 6, leaves us too far behind. No chance to make up 8 points on Barcelona in 9 games, would be lucky to make up the 4 from Real Madrid.

Got FIFA 09 and it's pretty good. There isn't much of a difference between it and 08. Be A Pro's way better though, not just one season. You learn alot about the players personality. Like Elano give him a meter of space 30 yards out from goal, no matter the angle, and he shoots. And shoots. And shoots. When there isn't any space he just dribbles. But when he pulls it off it is so damn sweet. Damn Elano. Other than that not much has changed.

Threw away the title. We stormed home, not losing in about 6 games, whilst Barcelona and Real Madrid lost or drew quite a few, we made up the points, then we drew in the 3rd last game (which was a game in hand), won the 2nd last (putting us a point in front, which would have been 3 if we had won the drawn game), and then lose 2-3 to ****ing 16th placed vallodid in the final game at home, such bullshit like their 3rd being a 35 yard curler, quit in frustration. Of course Real Madrid never losing their game. Now holidaying the last 12 days again to get the correct result (ie us in 2nd or 3rd).
