Top of the league at the half way stage. Had a bit of a mid season slump but seemed to have gone out of it now. Signed a new ''AP'' Midfielder and a few more players to bolster my squad a bit more.

The some of the A-league clubs are wasting so much money in my game in 2016.
Perth still had Sterjovski and Smeltz as marquees as well as 3 other unregistered players on over $500,000 when I took over a year ago.
Mariners - Bozanic is on $1 million and Rose on $500,00 a season but both are unregistered. Mark Bridge is marque on $800,000 but gets no game time and Matt Ryan is on $600,000. Matt Simon is on $200,000 and has only played 10 games in the last 3 years.
Newcastle - Beauchamp is marquee on $700,000
Wellington - Tsattalios is marquee on $800,000 and has played 12 games in the last 3 seasons. Osama Malik is on $600,000 and has played 12 games in 2 seasons.
Brisbane have 5 players on marquee salaries of over $400,000 that they can't register.

The A-League's AI is fucking shocking. Dunno why.

I know it's only a friendly, but against a Full Strength Sporting Lisbon, Sergio Aguero bags a 4 minute hattrick after coming on in the 71st minute and scoring his first goal at 73:15, he completed his hattrick at 77:31.

That's mad, I remember getting a hat-trick in 5 minutes on FM11.

I was completely dumbfounded when he did it.

So when you in team selection usually all the players are sorted out by their position and when you choose a player in your starting eleven, they usually move to the top.


however, in my current save, they either sort themselves out by whether they picked or by their position. how do i change it?

I think I too heavily focused on youth in my Perth team. I won the first 7 games but now I have had 8 players selected for the u21's and 7 for the u19's for the next month. So now I have only 3 out of my usual match day squad left.

I dunno why, but I signed Xavi on a free transfer despite having Canales, Valcercel, Cavey, Gerrard, Brown and Lucas in the midfield. One year contract seems like a total waste of time. I guess I was hoping for merch sales.

I'm only at like 140 on FM 11. Only got it at Christmas, mind.

276 hours of FM for me. That doesn't include the hours I'd put in over Christmas/New Year when I was away and on my laptop I'd imagine. Barely played it since then too.

I have 1117 hours but 3/4 of it would be when I have had the game open and have left the computer on to download something overnight or I have forgotten to turn the computer off when I left.

The same for me. I just leave FM open almost all the time really.

So getting back into my Celtic save. Decided to shake things up a bit, to make things a bit different. Bout to start the 2019/20 transfer window. Basically going to only have English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, N.Irish players in my squad. Selling off anyone who doesn't meet these requirements (a fair chunk of my squad). Ultimate aim is to replicate the Lisbon Lions and win the ECL with all Glasgow born players. Going all UK/British is the first step.

You get some strange messages from the A-league and Australia. When you win the final series you get a message saying that you won but the board are proud that you did your best in defeat.

Also the lower ranked team hosts the preliminary final for some reason.

After a disasterous few years, being sacked from Sydney, Port Vale and Cook Islands, I salvaged my reputation with the Perth who were on the verge of administration. I signed up half the Australian u19 squad and sold all expensive old players. By the end of the season I had won the league, easily broken the a-league transfer record 5 times selling my best players for 25 million but I lost the final. I used that money to buy other a-league clubs best youth players to continue the cycle. The second season I won the league and final series and in the third the young talent pool I was drawing from started to fry up and I came second in the league and won the final series. Halfway through the first season at Perth I became the Australian u19 coach.

I got bored with Perth after my third season and I accepted an offer to manage Karlsruhe who had just been relegated. They already had a good young squad including three Australians Lecki, Antonis and Jovanovic and I am sitting in 1st spot halfway through the season. I also became the manager of Iceland but a month (1 match) later Norway offered me the job so I took it. Two weeks (0 matches) after that Russia offered so I became Russian manager for a week (0 matches), before the US fresh from coming 2nd in the World Cup came knocking. So now I am the manager of USA.

Back in the groove now. Had a massive window at the start of the season, brought in like fifteen 16-18 year olds in the youth side, all with 4 star PA at least.

Only a few new signings to the XI, Burdisso at CB and Rensing at GK. And Hooper out for Boselli

Season going well so far, I'm top of the league by 4 points at the end of October. UCL form is good, 1-1 draw v Liverpool at home, then 0-0 draw away to Inter and a 1-0 win at home to Zurich.

Thought I had no chance making it out of the group but maybe I will.

Boselli was the big signing, and he has 9 goals in 10 apps so far, on fire.

Signed Roberto Firmino who has great potential, as well as this epic 16yo DM. Regen, he's 16, already had 8 U20 caps, 19 first touch, 5 star PA... signed him for 2.5mil. Cheering.

I've had the same messages managing Canada, for when we beat St Vincent & the Grenadines, Belize etc.

yeah, so when i click position, they sort by position and dont automatically go to the top when selected like they used to.

when i click on sort by picked, they sort out that way, but dont stay bunched in positions if not picked. (so ill have a striker up the top and a defender down the bottom of the list)
