England just haven't bloody turned up at all. They still back in England. Apart from day 1 at the Gabba they just haven't bothered. Making stupid errors and playing extremely defensive and scared cricket.

Who has played better over the last 3 years than him? Sangakarra, Kallis and Amla are the only players who could challenge him. Cook was until the last 6 months.

Every cricket fan bangs on about how good Kallis is. I would hardly say he's underrated.

Kallis - underrated by the media, possibly slightly overrated by the fans.

Tendulkar was nothing special for the last few years of his career. Certainly no where near the level the likes of Clarke have reached in the same few years.

You have named 3 players who have played better than Clarke over the last 3 years. Clarke shone for Australia a lot in the last few years due to the poor performances from the rest. Amla and Kallis were fantastic whilst the rest of the team around them were just as phenomenal.

Clarke has more centuries and runs than any of them in the last 3 years, whilst batting in a struggling team known for its batting collapses. At the same time he's had to handle taking over the captaincy.

At one stage, Zimbabwe had won more tests than Australia in this year. Just felt like saying that.

I dunno, I don't feel Clarke has been more consistent than Amla in the last three years. Amla also flourished in India where Australia struggled a lot.
