Might as well bat all day and have a 550-600 lead then bowl for an hour

Harris played brilliantly. we also have a big psychological advantage by declaring and not being bowled out.

Australia, in particularly Lehmann and Clarke have got everything right, and I'm loving it.

Sangakarra, Kallis and Amla are the only players who could challenge him. Cook was until the last 6 months. /side note: has there ever been a more underrated cricketer, or even sportsperson, than Jaques Kallis?

I would hardly say he's underrated. You've forgotten about Tendulkar already?

Tendulkar was nothing special for the last few years of his career. Certainly no where near the level the likes of Clarke have reached in the same few years.

You have named 3 players who have played better than Clarke over the last 3 years. Clarke shone for Australia a lot in the last few years due to the poor performances from the rest. Amla and Kallis were fantastic whilst the rest of the team around them were just as phenomenal.

Clarke has more centuries and runs than any of them in the last 3 years, whilst batting in a struggling team known for its batting collapses. At the same time he's had to handle taking over the captaincy.

I dunno, I don't feel Clarke has been more consistent than Amla in the last three years. Amla also flourished in India where Australia struggled a lot. Edited by zimbos_05: 7/12/2013 11:49:21 AM
