Got a friendly against Bentleigh tonight - Kev has confirmed that Honda won't be taking any part.

Hopefully he plays in the FFA cup match against APIA. The sooner we integrate him into the team the better. Plus I really want to watch him play!

Fair enough not to play, he only just arrived! Would be an interesting debut for him...against an NPL side at a local ground, far from a packed Marvel Stadium which is probably what the Victory brains trust were pitching to him!

at least this year we have many of our new signings here early. we have Honda for 9 weeks before round 1. We are notorious slow starters and we need to hit the ground running if we are gonna make headway on Sydney. I have also heard rumours about us about to sign a new striker, but I don't know how concrete that is.  

Any names?

He's viewed as a backup stiker. Will be handy off the bench but not got enough as a starting stiker for Victory.

He was pretty useless last night against Bentleigh Greens last night. Poor touch and a shit shot at goal. Will definitely be used as a backup striker

Sounds like we are going to need a quality striker if Kenny not put it yet!
Has anyone narrowed down what potential strikers are left that we could go for?
I think triosi will play on the left this year still need cover for that position too!

Really wish we had a sniff of who they are looking at... I will be pumped if they can score a couple foreigners to add to the squad!

The same discussion was had with City fans about CFG keeping stuff close to their chest.

I dont see why you should know this info before the player is signed, it seriously jeopardises the negotiations. Its the same deal in buisness except its agaisnt the law to announce info on stuff before it is completed. See Tesla/Musk's situation at the moment.

Sydney fc and victory always seem to be polar opposites in this. All I've heard this pre season is who Sydney is linked to, i reckon there's been a dozen players they've been linked to. Victory i can only recall honda and holla... other than the ones that are being shopped TO a-league clubs.
