While their player signings haven't exactly blown us away, their coaching appointments have been impressive. a 3 year deal means Rudan will be there for year one of Tarneit Stadium.

Western United released 3 versions of their logo in different colour schemes, I've noticed they're using the mainly white version on their releases and social media account. Quietly hoping they're going to use a predominately white kit, as others have pointed out Tarneit means white. Interesting read: https://www.reddit.com/r/Aleague/comments/brm83p/western_united_fc_indepth_analysis_if_all_the/

I am hopeful though that this means a big upgrade for Morshead Park. The city splashed the cash when the AFL came sniffing for a game or two there.

+xAndy Harper claiming Western United memberships go on sale in July. Also said they will play 8 games in Geelong, 2 in Ballarat and 3 at Docklands. Playing 8 HAL games at Marvel (5 x Victory, 3 x WU) would be logistically difficult when its unavailable for 2 months for the BBL. plus the AFL beginning in late March limits stadium availability. In addition, there is a Metallica concert in late October this year, which throws a spanner in the works. From a Victory POV, if we played away to WU at Marvel, it might mean it reduces our commitment to playing there ourselves, allowing us to play more games at AAMI Park. I would love that.

Looking at the signed players and thinking of Rudans 3-4-3 formation: Kurto Hammill-Gulum-Calver Risdon--Kone-Chapman--??? Pasquali-McDonald-Pain Bench: Delianov, Aspro, Cavallo, Burgess, Yuel Extra: Pierias,

Western United confirming that Rudan will be at Avondale VS Dandy City tomorrow...
Some very good players on show, I think Liam Boland, Matthew Reid, Stefan Zinni, Yitay Towns, Anthony Poljak have a very good opportunity to earn a contract for WU.
They are some of the major stand-outs

I’m hoping Zinni gets another opportunity in the HAL. He has shown some real promise in his time at City and back in the NPL.
As for the rumoured venues for matches, I thought I had read that WU would be playing the MV derbies in Geelong. Playing 3 matches at Marvel though certainly goes against that, as it will need Victory to be involved to have any chance of opening up the upper tier :)
At the end of the day though, Marvel is the best placed of the Melbourne venues for Western suburbs supporters coming in via train, with VLine and Metro trains going into Southern Cross next door. It’s not like there are a lot of other options available that would be approved by the FFA and Foxtel.

According to TWG, Cristiano Ronaldo is joining Western United this season in order to avoid rape charges. Apparently they can't get him if he is in Australia.

So, if true, we won't even get a fkn away trip after all that, what a let down. Hopefully our fans stay away and they cop a fat bill for hiring that place. Also Lou Sticca confirmed on Jim's nuffy page that they are locked in to train at George Cross SC's new ground in Caroline Springs.
