+x+x+x+xMakes you wonder what due diligence is done by the clubs when they engage in visa player signings. If the club wanted to make the jump to the next level, they would be best to throw a sum of money - not too much, at a Mathieu Delpierre type person, who understands the a league, and can be that European correspondent / scout, to sign European players; as opposed to the current model which involves shark player agents and youtube clips. Of course he'd get the odd signing wrong, but having that person as the correspondent, in the long run would be beneficial, and potentially make the club some money if they can on sell a player to an overseas club. Just a thought With MV in particular, if we look at the last 5 seasons (prior to this one) the visa players have been either good or excellent. There hasn't really been any absolute duds over that period. This season however we only have one good visa player (Ola) and the rest so far have been well under par. So with such a good success rate with visa players in recent history, the question needs to be asked what has gone wrong this season. 18/19- Georg Niedermeier
- Keisuke Honda
- Kosta Barbarouses
- Raúl Baena
- Ola Toivonen
17/18- Matías Sánchez
- Besart Berisha
- Leroy George
- Kosta Barbarouses
16/17- Besart Berisha

- Alan Baró
- Fahid Ben Khalfallah
15/16- Besart Berisha

- Matthieu Delpierre
- Kosta Barbarouses

14/15- Besart Berisha

Maxi Beister? Yeah he didn't quite work out, only appeared in 9 games. He played 123 minutes in total and scored one goal. At least he had the professionalism to put his hand up and say 'this isn't working for me' and agreed to terminate the contract. Still got him to sign a jersey after WSW away yeet -PB

Iniesta's Vissel Kobe win the Emperor's Cup, so we'll be away against Kashima Antlers in the final playoff, should we win the first playoff.

Would it be so unheard of now that we know Toivonen is Sweden bound for next season, that Berisha plays a swansong back at the Victory next season? Not such a bad idea.

If this is the case, he needs to be moved on, its one thing to sit out the entire time up til now, but to have three seperate injury setbacks in that time doesn't bode well for the rest of the season.

Good grief, what a contrast to this season Heard today that Corey Brown is going back to Roar in Jan window. Is that rumour still going around? You guys can keep him. Probably one of victory's worst roar signings. You guys might need to find another feeder club this decade lol.

+xFuck off all the dead weight now in the transfer window. -PB there are a few we can let go if we wanted to free up some space in January. Brown and Roux can go straight away as we have enough backups for their positions and are on a bit of money. Kenny as well. Hope might be better off trying his luck elsewhere.

+x+xFuck off all the dead weight now in the transfer window. -PB there are a few we can let go if we wanted to free up some space in January. Brown and Roux can go straight away as we have enough backups for their positions and are on a bit of money. Kenny as well. Hope might be better off trying his luck elsewhere. At 21, Hope is definitely at that age where he needs to make some big decisions about his career. Waiting around at MV is probably not the best option as there are almost always going to be players above him in the pecking order. He could probably have better chances of securing a starting spot at clubs like CCM or Jets, but I reckon he should probably broaden his horizons, take some risks and gain some overseas experience.

It's so frustrating, he can control the ball and turn on it like Zidane, putting three opposition players on their arses, but then he'll place a poor pass and lose the ball. Happens all the time. It's almost like having great training but only eight minutes of match time every couple of weeks affects sharpness. He is a huge victim of Australian football sitting on its hands and not providing more teams and/or a second division for us to loan him to, because I think we should persist with him into the long term as he clearly has abilities, and I hate seeing Victory so often letting our youth products go. Hopefully he gets more time during the rest of this season instead of our visa midfield trio.
