+x+x+xwell it’s too early to say if our squad will be any good next season, but at least we are putting together a squad much earlier this time around. ACL in about 6 weeks is probably a factor in this as well. by my count we have 15 players (including todays talk about Ansell returning) with 3 visa players still to be signed. What's your current 11? Including rumoured Ansell? Where do you guys think Brimmer and Mcmnamanmnanmnan fit in with Sideshow Bob and Kirdir? I really liked how they both came on after the restart and would hate to see them put back to the bench Love how you're even doing what Steve mcmanonman did and added extra m's😅😅 Yeah didn't know exactly how to spell it, I knew there was a Mc followed by a bunch of m's, n's and a's!

Panos is still young hardly a has been! I read Garuccio has signed for city... what other young Australians still need a club or due for a change? We should try for Gersbach And other olyroos that need consistent football before a possible Olympics

Ansell out of quarantine and it looks like he's reunited with the fam in Melbourne going off his insta, so basically pick a day in the coming week for the signing announcement.

Its good to see us making a lot of progress with our squad for next season, but why does it seem Brebs is only looking towards England for visa players?

+xIts good to see us making a lot of progress with our squad for next season, but why does it seem Brebs is only looking towards England for visa players? Could be because Brebs has contacts there, could be because it's a good time to be leaving the UK, could just be a coincidence based on what we've seen so far.

Victory sticking with the tried and tested “recycle former players model” despite last years debacle - Muscat made it work but can the new guy?

+xVictory sticking with the tried and tested “recycle former players model” despite last years debacle - Muscat made it work but can the new guy? Considering we lost doncs to newy who loaned him out to India. Its actually a decent pick up. He knows the club and should be coming cheap. Our defence needed a senior player. Would be great if we could somehow bring back mdp but Ansell is a decent option

+xVictory sticking with the tried and tested “recycle former players model” despite last years debacle - Muscat made it work but can the new guy? I think it's a sign of a strong club culture, that players want to come back. People need to adjust their expectations as to what kind of players we can sign this season, considering the context. We needed to sign at least two senior CBs and as long as he can stay injury-free as possible he'll be an asset. Sure he had the league's best defender ever (if not the best player full stop) to play next to in the 2014-15 season we last did the double, but only for half the season as Delpierre was injured for a good while, so Ansell deserves his dues.

We just need another mdp. It says a lot when all the foreign cbs and Aussie cbs fail to live up to his lofty heights.

Apparently we're after an Argentine CB.

If we can still get Gestede and the alleged Argentine CB to complete our visa signings I'll be overjoyed. Brebs and his team have already far surpassed my expectations with the signings they've brought in so far, considering the new cap.

Perhaps Australia's biggest weakness could be our strength for getting players out here - We are not near anybody else.

English Winter with lockdowns, restrictions, quarantine hubs, covid cases on the rise. - Versus - Aussie summer with potentially no lockdowns, restrictions, quarantine hubs and covid cases quickly declining. Albeit with a bit of a pay cut.

Watch the Aussies and the rest of the imports in India leave once they see the lockdowns in India will make Victoria's one look tame

Kruse sitting out the ACL: Socceroos winger Robbie Kruse will not travel as he continues his rehabilitation from the knee surgery that prematurely ended his A-League season but otherwise Victory have close to a full squad to choose from. https://www.ftbl.com.au/news/victory-will-swap-xmas-presence-for-acl-555864
