+x+x+x+xComing from a MP has some credibility and a most welcome statement. After all this was the building block of WU’s commitment to entry into the A-League. Wish them all the luck it proceeds to be built smoothly. Sorry I know your trolling but...... claiming that coming from an MP this has credibility??? Lol I think I overestimated you.... When publicly announcing a facility’s go-a-head it does. Too embarrassing and harmful to retract later. But I guess you’re used to the crap SM Hellas spits out all the time, so you think all others do too. Ok, if you say so.... so 2023.. lets see who is right or wrong on this one.... Ill swallow my pride and appologise to all their fans on here if they have a 15k stadium up and running by Dec 2023 ( and I dont mean a dodgy cut price Epping Stadium deal, has to look like their architectural dream renders) What will you say if they dont? I'll join you on that one. We've already had the shovel ready once.

What I say is that we now have politicians weighing in confirming the stadium with the club and council so it’s a goer. That’s the important point. Second point is that logistically it can be built in 3 years - I’ve used Suncorp as an example. If it runs over so be it. Don’t care. Not as important. With so much past negativity and criticism, mainly coming from you that the club will never build the stadium, we should now start popping the champagne bottle whilst you scrape the egg off your face. You can pop whatever you like but there's no egg on my face yet champ.... I agree that logistically a stadium can be built in "3 years tops" I just dont believe it WILL be.

+x+xAmendment C243, Wyndham planning scheme amendment; public aquisition overlay Tarneit & Sayers Rds, Hoppers Crossing. Also amends: C236 (Werribee), C219 (Quandong), C228 (re-zonings), C241 (roads & intersections), and more.. No. Nothing to do with the stadium. Click the link and read it if you like. I believe you do not trust councillors and politicians..

I know you have quietly wished it would never happen and you have a hatred for anyone or club dispossessing your SMHellas of a chance into the AL, but you now face reality that the stadium may well eventuate. There is no formal public record of this application being lodged/made, yet alone it being approved. The only information released is via 'facebook' or press releases. That is extremely odd.

+xlol 2023? that's like 24 months away. we'd be lucky to see anything by 2030 tbh...assuming the club still exists by then It’s one thing to say the stadium isn't coming (which has basically been a disinformation campaign from the bitters), it’s another thing to say WU won’t exist in a few years. Not only do they have deeper pockets than most teams, but they seem pretty committed to the league. Involving themselves with the Newcastle ownership issues is a good example.

Often in our game we resent the lack of effort or promotion put into the A-League by clubs and administrators. Yet Western United are genuinely going above and beyond in promoting their game vs. Victory - and the response is mockery and snide comments. As much as it is at times gimmicky and OTT, WUFC are genuinely trying to grow their fan base and the game. This should be acknowledged.

They definitely should be applauded for making an effort to get people to the game. However, in this instance WU are actually targeting MV supporters. They want to fill the limited capacity at AAMI and the easiest way to do that is to get as many MV supporters to attend. Tickets = dollars, doesn't matter who buys them, WU will pocket the ticket sales as it's their home game. This is why their campaign is about antagonizing MV supporters rather than promoting what their own club has to offer. Nothing wrong with that, personally I reckon it's a smart move and definitely a good short term strategy. However, it is a shame they need to go down that path, when they have the massive marketing asset that is Diamanti.

The China/Australia relationship is volatile at the moment and I'm sure an investor could be influenced by the CCP to make things difficult.

ROFL. Nothing quiet about my wishes at all Paulie ..... I think I have been pretty bloody loud about this fraud.... Lets make a date for 2024 in the Western Wembley, Ill bring the ouzo you bring the cevapi? As I implied, the date is secondary as long as it happens which now appears to be getting momentum. Damn, life is tough hey! The ouzo sounds great though, as long as you also bring some souvlaki (you've got the contacts). You're on! Mate I'll slaughter and butcher the pig myself to make souvlakia, no problem. Ill even give you till 2028, thats a decade after being awarded a license, is that enough time? In the mean time this is as close is it is ever going to get, whether you choose to believe me or not. https://mobile.twitter.com/wufcofficial/status/1354250873451368448 I thought souvlaki was lamb? Sacrilege...... Real souvlaki is pork. Hehehe Ok well in that case I look forward to trying the real thing Pork gyros meat, tzatziki, chips, onions and tomato - oregano, basil, salt pepper, paprika and a squeeze of lemon. All wrapped in a toasted pita bread..... mmmmmm food of the gods. Try barba Phillipa's on Leoforo Alexandras opposite the PAO stadium in Athens otherwise Oakleigh in Melbourne... maybe Kalimera Souvlaki Art?

+x+x+x+xlol 2023? that's like 24 months away. we'd be lucky to see anything by 2030 tbh...assuming the club still exists by then It’s one thing to say the stadium isn't coming (which has basically been a disinformation campaign from the bitters), it’s another thing to say WU won’t exist in a few years. Not only do they have deeper pockets than most teams, but they seem pretty committed to the league. Involving themselves with the Newcastle ownership issues is a good example. That's interesting. Do you know who the financial owners are? I know some horse racing "identity" is involved but who are the Chinese investors I keep hearing about? Genuine question if you know? Who cares? They have money and they are investing it in Australian football. That is all that matters to be honest Yeah that boat looks like it cost them a fortune 🤣🤣 https://mobile.twitter.com/joeylynchy/status/1354626375538282502

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xComing from a MP has some credibility and a most welcome statement. Once it starts, there's no stopping. Who cares if gets built by Jan 26, 2024 (wouldn't it be great if it did?). I know you have quietly wished it would never happen and you have a hatred for anyone or club dispossessing your SMHellas of a chance into the AL, but you now face reality that the stadium may well eventuate. +xThat's interesting. Do you know who the financial owners are? I know some horse racing "identity" is involved but who are the Chinese investors I keep hearing about? Genuine question if you know? you bag the crap out of WU without being informed. WU is 100% Australian owned. Chinese investors were part of the original bid, but removed before the awarding of the licences. This has been mentioned numerous times on this page.
