+x+x+xI piked out and ended up watching through youtube on the couch :) Sokol goal to put it out of reach was nice... well done Hercules.... Menelaou and Ghadi impressed and pleased to see Zak Bates has found his level and still has the speed. Snoreland doing "NPL things" and giving the opponent the ball all game and NOT being able to successfully counter was hilarious. Favourite moment of the match (the other commentator with Ollie was appalling BTW, wtf dude 10 yard box? WTF is a 10 yard box? and stop screaming) was 2 minutes into extra time, Northcote up 2 zip and one of the kids just boots the bejeezus out of a throw in ball just to waste time....... hahahah love to see such shithousery. ha hah totally from the young kids,. Some awesome saves in the game. My son is 8 and got out of bed to watch the last 10 minutes. So happy he does stuff llike this Good lad AND good dad :) THATS FOOTBALL.......... waking my littlies up to watch football with me on the coach is one of my favourite things in life. .. I have, like everyone else, thousands of photos of my kids on my phone yet the ones were they are at Lakeside, in their Hellas tops, scarfs and beanies ALWAYS make me smile that little bit more.... yeah it's awesome. He's taken a massive liking to celtic and Scottish football cause of ange. all the kids are rocking up to school wearing man city tops and pretending to be neymar,, he's got a celtic tracksuit on talking about Dundee v Kilmarnock lol

This weekends results, damn SU gave APIA its first home loss with a late winner. SO just can't get it together this season. Got to say Spirit puts in some good games 1st season in the top flight. Same applies with StG. APIA 3points ahead of Marconi. Sutherland Sharks 0 v Central Coast Mariners 0 @ Seymour Shaw Sutherland Sharks and Central Coast Mariners played out a frustrating 0-0 draw at Seymour Shaw in Round 18 of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition on Friday night. Both teams had chances to break the deadlock but none of which proved to hit the back of the net as both teams settled for a point.Good football was played on both ends however as both coaches Damir Prodanovic and Abbas Saad were proud with how their teams pushed the ball around. It was the lack of finishing that let both teams down but a point each ensured the two teams continued to move away from the bottom half of the competition ladder. Marconi 1 v Wollongong Wolves 0 @ Marconi Stadium
The Marconi Stallions secured a late victory over the Wollongong Wolves at Marconi Stadium in Round 18 of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition on Saturday night.A late goal was the only separator of the two sides after a hard-fought, end-to-end battle at ‘The Palace’.Marko Jesic delivered the goal in front of the Stallions home faithful after 88 minutes, in his first return to the pitch after recovering from injury. The victory keeps Marconi in the race for the Premiership, staying close to league leaders APIA Leichhardt FC. NWS Spirit FC 3 v Blacktown City 2 @ Christie Park
A couple of superb first half strikes saw NWS Spirit FC defeat Blacktown City 3-2 at Christie Park in Round 18 National Premier League NSW Men’s action. The game looked well and truly over for the visitors as NWS Spirit FC ran out to a 3-0 lead in the first thanks to goals from Mitchell Davidson and two incredible goals from Ollie Wiggin and Richie Darko. The second half was a different story as City pegged two back with Jak O’Brien and Carlos De Oliveira getting on the scoresheet, but it was to be too little too late as the hosts secured a valuable victory at home. Mt Druitt Town Rangers 2 v Bulls FC Academy 1 @ Popondetta Park
A gallant Mt Druitt Town Rangers left it late but defeated Bulls FC Academy 2-1 thanks to a 90th minute winner by 17-year-old young gun Abdelelah Faisal at Popondetta Park on Saturday night.Mt Druitt Town Rangers got off to the perfect start with Rhett Desilva handing them the lead in the eighth minute before Anthony Frangie was given his marching orders. The hosts snatched the points late through substitute Faisal in the 90th minute. For Bulls FC Academy, it was another point in the book but could’ve been much more. Mason Wells equalised for them with a superb strike to make it 1-1. They started the second half but had Sunday Yona sent off for two fouls seconds apart before conceding late. Western Sydney Wanderers 1 v St George City 2 @ Wanderers Football Park The match saw spectacular goals, formidable defence and the timer didn’t even clock over the 1st-minute mark before the game’s first opportunity arose.St George would take the lead in the 27th minute through Presley Ortiz. In a play of individual brilliance, the St George City attacker got past two defenders before working the ball into the bottom right corner. They extended their lead in the 54th minute after a heroic blocked shot by their skipper Tarik Ercan on Alexander Badolato. Brendan Hooper found Kosta Petratos in the box by his lonesome, who nailed the bail into the bottom corner. In the 62nd minute, Wanderer Jesse Cameron delivered a cracking goal from well outside the box with his right foot off one step.Cameron’s opening goal of the season flew past Jack Kenny with the Wanderers faithful going ballistic on the sidelines, having just witnessed one of the ‘Goals of the Season’. Manly United 2 v Rockdale Ilinden 2 @ Cromer Park Manly United fought back from two goals down to share the points with Rockdale Ilinden in a 2-2 draw at Cromer Park on Saturday night. It was an action-packed first period with Alec Urosevski and Nikola Ujdur getting Ilinden 2-0 up by the half-hour mark.Matthew Sim converted a penalty to halve the deficit for Manly heading into the break.United put in a strong showing in the second half equalising early on through Stefan Visscher, but they couldn’t find a winner in what remained. Sydney Olympic 1 v Sydney FC 2 @ Belmore Sports Ground It’s been a nightmare week for Sydney Olympic after their Australia Cup exit on Wednesday, Labinot Haliti’s troops were left wondering what went wrong following their devastating 2-1 loss to Sydney FC on Sunday at Belmore Sports Ground – a match the Blues were leading up until the 87th minute. The home side led for a large proportion of the game thanks to a Roy O’Donovan goal but then, despite a plethora of possession, they were unable to double their lead and the door was left ajar for Sydney FC. A door that was flung wide open with two late goals to Oscar Priestman and Nathan Paull respectively in the last three minute of the game as the young Sydney FC team continued their run of good form against Sydney Olympic. APIA 1 v Sydney United 58 FC 2 @ Lambert Park Sydney United 58 have handed APIA Leichhardt their first home defeat of the campaign, thanks to a late Chris Payne goal at Lambert Park. The away side opened the scoring in the 34 th minute, with Andreas Agamemnonos received the ball, executed a great turn, drove forwards and played an incisive pass to Patrick Antelmi, who stroked the ball home with a composed finish.APIA Leichhardt dominated and found an equaliser in the 71 st minute through a crisp Rory Jordan volley, but a late strike from Christopher Payne saw Sydney United suppress APIA and take home an invaluable three points.

Good win for United after a rocky 2-3 weeks... Marconi on the way up I would say, shaping up to be a great fight for the top 1-3 spots.... Down here its pretty much who blinks first South or Avondale...

A massive and hugely consequential Italian derby next Saturday night at the Marconi club. APIA and Marconi will both head into the clash equal atop the table on 40 points a piece. Result likely be pivotal to the result of the title race. If you are at all willing and able, get down and support traditional football clubs

+xCan western uniteds npl team get promoted to the top division? 6 points separate 7th and 1st mate... It will be a big achievement if they do. Cant see anyone topping Preston for first and if WU has to play a knockout final I can't see them beating a Bentleigh or a Moreland.even... Good luck to them if they do however their stay at the top league wont last more than a season, this isnt SA or NSW :)
