The Marconi Stallions secured a late victory over the Wollongong Wolves at Marconi Stadium in Round 18 of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition on Saturday night.A late goal was the only separator of the two sides after a hard-fought, end-to-end battle at ‘The Palace’.Marko Jesic delivered the goal in front of the Stallions home faithful after 88 minutes, in his first return to the pitch after recovering from injury.The victory keeps Marconi in the race for the Premiership, staying close to league leaders APIA Leichhardt FC.
NWS Spirit FC 3 v Blacktown City 2 @ Christie Park
A couple of superb first half strikes saw NWS Spirit FC defeat Blacktown City 3-2 at Christie Park in Round 18 National Premier League NSW Men’s action.The game looked well and truly over for the visitors as NWS Spirit FC ran out to a 3-0 lead in the first thanks to goals from Mitchell Davidson and two incredible goals from Ollie Wiggin and Richie Darko.The second half was a different story as City pegged two back with Jak O’Brien and Carlos De Oliveira getting on the scoresheet, but it was to be too little too late as the hosts secured a valuable victory at home.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers 2 v Bulls FC Academy 1 @ Popondetta Park
A gallant Mt Druitt Town Rangers left it late but defeated Bulls FC Academy 2-1 thanks to a 90th minute winner by 17-year-old young gun Abdelelah Faisal at Popondetta Park on Saturday night.Mt Druitt Town Rangers got off to the perfect start with Rhett Desilva handing them the lead in the eighth minute before Anthony Frangie was given his marching orders. The hosts snatched the points late through substitute Faisal in the 90th minute.For Bulls FC Academy, it was another point in the book but could’ve been much more. Mason Wells equalised for them with a superb strike to make it 1-1. They started the second half but had Sunday Yona sent off for two fouls seconds apart before conceding late.
Western Sydney Wanderers 1 v St George City 2 @ Wanderers Football Park
The match saw spectacular goals, formidable defence and the timer didn’t even clock over the 1st-minute mark before the game’s first opportunity arose.St George would take the lead in the 27th minute through Presley Ortiz. It’s been a nightmare week for Sydney Olympic after their Australia Cup exit on Wednesday, Labinot Haliti’s troops were left wondering what went wrong following their devastating 2-1 loss to Sydney FC on Sunday at Belmore Sports Ground – a match the Blues were leading up until the 87th minute.The home side led for a large proportion of the game thanks to a Roy O’Donovan goal but then, despite a plethora of possession, they were unable to double their lead and the door was left ajar for Sydney FC. A door that was flung wide open with two late goals to Oscar Priestman and Nathan Paull respectively in the last three minute of the game as the young Sydney FC team continued their run of good form against Sydney Olympic.

Sydney United 58 have handed APIA Leichhardt their first home defeat of the campaign, thanks to a late Chris Payne goal at Lambert Park.The away side opened the scoring in the 34^th minute, with Andreas Agamemnonos received the ball, executed a great turn, drove forwards and played an incisive pass to Patrick Antelmi, who stroked the ball home with a composed finish.APIA Leichhardt dominated and found an equaliser in the 71^st minute through a crisp Rory Jordan volley, but a late strike from Christopher Payne saw Sydney United suppress APIA and take home an invaluable three points.

I assumed APIA was running away with it with only 1 loss all season until now. the 5 draws they had are starting to catch up with them.

Result likely be pivotal to the result of the title race. If you are at all willing and able, get down and support traditional football clubs

i dont see why not, Sydney FC, WSW & CCM are all in NPL1 in NSW

6 points separate 7th and 1st mate... It will be a big achievement if they do. Cant see anyone topping Preston for first and if WU has to play a knockout final I can't see them beating a Bentleigh or a Moreland.even... 

Good luck to them if they do however their stay at the top league wont last more than a season, this isnt SA or NSW :)
