+xWhere the hell would they play? these clubs span almost all of Adelaide As I understand it, the clubs aren't merging in any way. Same as Brisbane United. Named Clubs are members of a new entity, presumably providing the financial security etc the FA criteria will demand So, its really an FSA bid, probably at the Gepps Cross centre

It's nice enough little facility with room to do more. I have just always hoped Campbelltown would get a sugar daddy, step up and build a few extra stands just coz it's my local club.

How many fans will jump on board a new "neutral" team? AUFC is a neutral team, so fans can watch then in the Aleague. Why would these new teams get new fans?? A few interested passers by... Sure. But I really don't know how this will work.

Maybe they don't care and its just a "juniors state team" with a view for greater exposure to our pretty impressive playing pool these days. No idea

Let's see what happens Curious, as an AU supporter, would you follow them in a casual capacity if they were the only SA based NST team? A-League in Summer, NST in Winter. Maybe, they are banking on picking up Reds fans who just want to watch more football.

But without P/R the lower half will struggle is my guess.

Maybe, they are banking on picking up Reds fans who just want to watch more football. As in no Adelaide City as well? Either way I would follow one or both in a very casual capacity of course if "casual" means checking scores, watching highlights etc I imagine most a-league fans will at least do that though I would probably go to a game or two as a casual observer if the time and venue was right but these days even the 14 United games a year can be tough to get to. Maybe when my daughter is less of a hassle to take to games and presumably there would be more mid-afternoon games too which would be good

AL during summer for many barring the diehards is I have a bbq or the beach or another commitment for starters. Winter is a different kettle of fish. In saying that its all too much crystal ball stuff for now, who's on 1st whats on 2nd, we haven't even got to the start of the 2nd process stage upon X Clubs throwing in $25k.

Definitely wouldn't have picked Green Gully to apply. Can't imagine their venue being anywhere near up to scratch. Appreciate the ambition though.

The Bistro/Pokies is going great guns, the council just finished asphalting their carpark, all it would take is 300-400k for some terracing on the far side and some seats..... a quick whip around at the social club would bring this mighty club back :)

I imagine there would be quite a few clubs ahead of them on that list though. I'd still rather see Green Gully than some of the others though.

I agree, but at the end of the day they are brave enough to be "included" in the process, as are all 32 of these clubs/entities.... a HUGE thank you to ALL of them from me..... At least now the hard work can begin,,, even if only 10 x clubs kick start this venture the others will know EXACTLY what they have to do to get in the following season, or the one after, or the one after.... exciting time for Australian Football.... IMHO I am more proud of the "little clubs' that put their EOI in..... lets be real, my club is a shoe in for this but I LOVE that someone like Valentine FC or Fraser Park FC have the ambition and the cojones to be involved....... I love football in this country sometimes .... sometimes :)

+xOi robbos, do you ever venture to any Fraser P games at all ? By the way, let me know how your LFC mates are :) LFC mates, insufferable, they are letting me know about the result. I'm happy to see the result as maybe this shuts up the Rashford best player in the world & Ten Haag best manager in the world talk. Very very good display LFC, I've always said GK & defence (minus Joe Gomez very strong) attack yeah just brilliant, you are just short couple of really good quality midfielders to guide the quality youngsters you do have. No never mate, my NPL team in Manly, pop down to Cromer to watch them occasionally. I have no need to feel my heritage in local football, I already have that with Ronaldo & Portugal. For food, I go to Petersham or visit mum or some of the Aunties, rest of time I'm an Aussie.

You'd have to be impressed with so many clubs willing to fork out at least $5k (50% of it non-refundable)

One step closer to reality but great to see so many interested parties putting their hands up willing to join in.
Now the hard part begins on not only who will be handpicked but also fit the RFP phase as well, this will take awhile of course.
I wonder what happens if they are 16 or more are fit to join in the NSD, do the clubs that miss out get the chance to apply again for future entries?
I also wonder if Football Australia will use the champions league style format for teams that missed out on getting through direct entry and use the champions league format as a tool for promotion into the NSD via the traditional way and the teams that finish in the bottom places in the NSD get relegated into that champions league style format which makes it as the 3rd division?
That could be played between seasons of course.
So much to ponder but the possibilities are endless for me.

Potential growth area of 1.7 mill and already have rusted on football lovers. Surprised a great club like Manly in Sydney is not there. Also missing is the biggest and strongest club in Queensland - Lions
